"So I've already shared a bit about my story in another post; a few days ago, I went to a specialist. He told me that it's possible to remove the non-absorbable surgical stitches I had from the curvature correction surgery a long time ago without needing to do anything else, and the penis will remain in the same position. He also mentioned that it's a safe procedure ( but I have an absurd difficulty in trusting any doctor after my experience, i trust real cases ), without the need for additional incisions, does this really happen? Has anyone gone through this? Is it worth doing, and is it safe? These stitches really bother me a lot. Thanks for any advice."

Another thing as well, at the moment, I'm getting to know a really cool girl, but I'm dealing with this situation.

"I'm afraid to tell her about my situation, and she might react negatively. Our circle of friends is very close-knit, you know. If I share what I'm going through, she might tell them, and I would feel really bad. I don't know what to do. We've been together a few times, but it was just kisses. It's really difficult to be in this situation. If she were my girlfriend, it would be okay, but since we're not officially anything, it's hard to share something so personal. And she shouldn't have to deal with this either."

As for the procedure, you're right to worry about it. Nobody cares as much about your penis as you, so you're the one who needs to really assess the risk. Any operation has risk associated. I'm no urologist, but those stitches were there for a reason, and it would make me wonder how the doctor could guarantee you your penis will remain the same after. It's a decision you'll have to make. Maybe it gets better after, maybe it's the same, or maybe it's worse. I will say I've never heard of anyone having this done so I don't think you'll find much on this type of procedure, and maybe that's a sign in itself.

Regarding the girl..if you're serious then I'd tell her. If you're not, you have no obligation to. Unless you think she will notice, then maybe you'd want to be prepared if she asks questions. If a girl would leave you over something that superficial, she's not someone worth your time to begin with. Any quality woman isn't going to care about feeling sutures under your skin- that would be ridiculous. I had shoulder surgery 15 years ago for a torn labrum, and they sutured my labrum to the bone to keep it in place. Is a girl going to leave me for that too? Just saying, don't worry about that. If they have a problem with it, you saved yourself the trouble of being with the wrong person.

What IwillbeatPD has stated has a lot of wisdom in it. Any woman who really cares for you will be understanding. Yes it can be a shock for her to hear this kind of news, but in a real caring relationship an individual will understand and not cause you harm.

As far as going through with this surgery I would seek out a couple more opinions. You are throwing caution to the wind if you go through with this. Yes those sutures are there for a specific purpose. Now if you find a qualified surgeon to explain things to you intelligently as to the why they are there, then a reasonable decision could be made as to their removal.  :)

From what he explained to me, the fact that the healing time has already passed means the penis has already taken its permanent shape, and removing the sutures would be only for comfort reasons. I'm really not sure about this, but it seems to make some sense, which is why I wanted opinions from someone who has done something similar.

I have been under intense anxiety, experiencing very sad moments. Only a few people in my family know what I am going through. I have to show others that everything is okay with me, but this issue is taking a toll on me.

I saw that jack1909 removed the surgical sutures and his shape remained the same, but it was the only case I found here, there isn't much information about people who wanted to remove these sutures here, maybe many have done it successfully and just haven't shared (I really don't know).

The doctor I went to said that every year he operates on two people who want to successfully remove the sutures. I intend to talk to him about it again and consult with a few more specialists.

Please, if anyone has any experience with this type of situation, give me some advice.

At the same time that this forum helps me, it has also made me become very obsessive, but thank you for any help.

I agree with you that you need to talk to a different specialist regarding this. Also is there anyone else that you trust to sit down and talk you about this? I mean that in sharing your feelings and worries about this can be a big mental relief. That is why  people go to counselors.  They seek out a qualified specialist to open their hearts to share what they are experiencing in  life that causes them anxiety or fear. At times medication is needed to help that individual through this low time in their life. This doesn't mean that it will be forever. You need to keep telling yourself that YOU WILL MAKE IT through this!! The fact that you are doing something proactive shows that. Be encouraged!!

I'm in the same situation as you, a friend of the forum managed to have his sutures removed with Dr Gelman.

As for me, he didn't take the risk of removing them during my surgery with him, so I'm looking for a surgeon or going back to Gelman.

I was able to speak with Dr. Djinovic, and he assured me that it was possible and that there was no risk involved. I'm concerned by this statement because he seems certain that it's possible without knowing the depth of the sutures in my penis.

I'm confused by all the different doctors' statements
