Things feel grim, what would you do in my situation?

Hey guys so I wanted to ask y'all some questions.


Basically, I've been in terrible pain for 3.5 to 4 years, my morning woods struggle to even get hard, my erections are soft hard at this point and I lose them quickly. I notice thinning at then end of my penis where I think plaque is. This whole situation just feels so hopeless.

Just got my first GF and I don't want to disappoint her. There's a high-volume surgeon/Peyronies doctor near me. He does take my insurance so hopefully I can go see him.

After being denied an Ultrasound by another Uro, I want to be able to get some diagnostic tests done by Karpman, to rule out the physical causes of my Erectile Dysfunction, Pain, deformities, etc.

I'd hope my next Uro is knowledgeable enough to give order basic tests that rule out the functioning and health of my penis.

Safe to say with my symptoms I would be very surprised if there was no scarring or any of that.

If you guys were in my situation would you go for the implant?

I mean my erections aren't completely lifeless maybe if I can get the pain to go they will improve. But they arent good by any metric its like a soft hard essentially. So maybe there's some recoverability still.

Sometimes I feel like this Peyronies stuff makes me exaggerate a little bit, but my symptoms are pretty serious. The weird thing about my case is I didn't have pain with erections until around 2.5 years in to this.


Might just take another 2 months of Pentox to keep  the blood flow going.


I'm just so exhausted mentally and physically.

I feel castrated as a man, and the pain is so terrible. Even a Percocet wouldn't bring the pain away.

I'm tired of feeling like any man with a working penis can out-compete me.

Taking it slow with this girl I'm dating I think she likes the fact that we have only kissed and cuddled but no sex so she finds it romantic, if you guys know what I mean. So I'm trying to hold out in sex with her as long as possible.


Cheers guys, and hopefully my insurance will enable me to see Karpmam.

I pray it covers treatments because I have very little money to work with, being a broke college student.

What all have you tried so far?

They usually say before an implant you should have tried things like VED, Traction, heat, pills and then injections. I tried all of the above and my condition continued to worsen. I was able to get a strong erection with tadalafil, the problem was that hourglass and narrowing was so bad it wasn't safe to attempt sex. My dick wasn't stable enough and hinged. If I didn't have the hinge, I absolutely would have explored other options. You really have to consider an implant on a case by case basis. If your dick is stable enough to have sex, you shouldn't get an implant.

I've heard you say you have possible scar tissue and some narrowing. Also that your erection angle is straight up. I'd imagine the erection angle prevents you from having sex in any position but missionary. However, that could be potentially fixed separate from your dick I'd think of it like a separate issue. Can you get an erection with pills? If so, what is the quality of that erection? Could you have sex assuming the angle was better?

And the pain issue, that leads me to believe you do have scar tissue or some type of active Peyronies.

We can speculate and provide suggestions here on the forum, but the only person who can do a full exam and review of your situation is a urologist. I'd start by getting established with a good one, even if you don't know if you'll get the implant. At least then you can be aware of your current status (most important), and find out your options.

You are taking steps to address this, and that is very nice. Many men don't and just wait for their condition to further worsen. Normally people say nice things about Dr. Karpman, so there is a chance you will be in good hands.
    One of things i try to tell folks in your position seeking help on the forum is for them to try and start with the basics on properly diagnosing their condition, so they rule out common risk factors and hopefully narrow the cause down of their ED. That way they can pursue the most adequate treatment.

From there on (and to address your point of the implant) it is a matter of how happy you are with how your ED is being treated, if it's progressing, if your sex life is satisfying to you and your partner and if the answer is no to these points, if you have the financial means to pursue an implant.


Sucks that you are in so much pain. Hoping Dr. Karpman is able to help you with that.

In regards to you avoiding sex with your girl; i can understand why you are doing it but the later you have that conversation the worst it is for you guys. At some point you will have to be upfront about it and it would be better (in my opinion, having gone through that) for you to have a down to earth conversation with her outside of the bedroom. Hopefully she will be understanding and supportive; which is something you need a lot right now.

What I've tired :

Haven't tried traction to be honest , not sure if it will work with the angle like I was telling you because it's almost vertical with my stomach . Never thought the angle was odd until I realized a more straight dick is better for sex .

And when you say the angle can be fixed separately wdym ? Is there a way for it to go from 175 degrees erect angle to something like straight , so I can do other positions ? That would be cool .

Pills :
Pills don't work to well either I could probably barley have sex with them . If I tried it might be embarrassing .

Personal thoughts:
It's hard to assess how good my erections are because they are all on a lackluster scale of subpar soft hard if that makes sense . Maybe if the pain goes away I will see improvement or something . But in my past experiences I go soft very quick in the middle of it all. Or I go soft inside . Even with the pills , the pills might get me to barley functional when I used them . I'm trying to be as level headed as possible when I explain my symptoms .

Injections :
Not sure if I could do injections with all the pain I have been having down there . If there's already scarring in theory doesn't that just make it worse with the injections ? Maybe I would try if I wanted to hide the issue from my girl .


Traction:

Im not sure if traction will work either with my angle , and the pain. I noticed the traction devices mount on the pelvis where the dick connects. So with the angle and pain  not certain how this will be compatible .


I've tried heat consistently for like 3 ish weeks but stopped I feel like it helped with pain a little . I need to start again, to see how it goes . I've read about hyperthermia treatment for Peyronies . But I kind of want to be able to measure the rice socks temp before putting it on my area .


Other thoughts :

Maybe I'm being impatient because I'm young and have a pretty bad case and all that .

But I heard if the ultrasound shows scarring that stops erections from happening , insurance will cover an implant for me basically .

And it's really just the pain that's been on a torturous level constantly without going away for years , it's became apart of my identity now .


Recent sexual experience :
My girl tried to give me a BJ unexpectedly and I had kind of a soft hard on hopefully she doesn't judge me to much because I wasnt rock hard or whatever .

And with the angle I feel like a lot of females are uneducated about that stuff. Because she tried to pull my meat up until it was vertical with the ceiling .
It doesn't go up like there's the resistance or whatever .
So it definitely hurt when she did that .  

So now I'm worried she's gonna not wanna be with me because I wasn't that hard during the BJ , idk maybe I'm just in my head to much .

I don't know Pfract .

Things are just getting to much for me to handle , life has already thrown to many crazy things my way , my whole Peyronies dick problem experience has been more traumatizing , than most of the other things that have happened to me . My life experiences have already put me in a small minority of people my age , and this stupid Peyronies or fracture whatever it is had been the cherry on top .

I've been without anywhere to live in the past , family issues , you name it .

I also have this other issue  going on where my  
my bottom lip twitches uncontrollably . It's been doing this non stop for like 2 years now . Makes me insecure in public .
I have to go to a Nuero surgeon because I had a spinal MRI that showed possible kyphosis . And spine abnormality's .  

At this point I will do whatever it takes to get a functional dick back . I feel robbed of my man hood it's insane .

Idk I'm Kinda worried .

My medical insurance states if there's physical evidence that Erectile Dysfunction has a provable physical cause , they can cover whatever treatments that  pertain to fixing the issue that's causing it .

So maybe there's some hope for me . My parents aren't worried about my situation the slightest bit so. It's just me and my brothers from this forum.
