Hey, I have peyronies. I think i did get it from injury when i was younger.
I have a 45/50 degree upwards curvature that bends slightly to the left. I think i have peyronies for over 10 years now and have been noticing for about 7 yeas. I've been to the urologist but i really don't want to do surgery, i want to try other options first.

I don't really have pain. I did have some stingy pain back in the days sometimes but that seems to be over now. Pain luckely never was the biggest problem.

But my mental health got destroyed.. I dont have to explain what i mean by that.
The depressing, helpless feeling that you can never get out of your head.

I have been doing some manual traction by hand, because it does give a good feeling stretch on the plague.
The stretch on the plaque feels good and sometimes the plaque almost becomes verry slightly itchy in a good way. (i hope someone knows what i mean by that feeling).

So i have some questions:
1. Does traction therapy work after such a long time?
2. What devices would you suggest or what other kind of manual traction would you suggest.
3. How long does it take the reduce curvature from your experiences? Months or years?

I'm willing to spend alot of hours each day trying to fix it. Please leave a comment if you can help me.

Greetings !  :)

Welcome Kees to the forum and thank you for filling out your signature line! Next you need to download our survival guide as this will give you a better understanding of peyronies and it's different treatments.

So when you were diagnosed did the Dr do an ultrasound and were there any plaques found? You are in no pain but how are your morning erections? Did you do any preliminary measuring of your penis? How much length/girth have been lost?

I would say to quit the traction by hand as you don't have a clue just how much force you are exerting and could do more damage. There are testimonies of members here who did just that. You need to educate yourself on the Restorex device as it was designed to help with curvatures of the penis and the traction it provides is good.  You may also benefit from VED therapy. The forum has a specific protocol to follow. The time invested and consistency is the key to any success with traction or VED. I started with traction with the PMP and then added the Restorex later to address my curvature issues.
I can personally say that it has helped me a lot. I have been using these therapies now for about 2 years and still see gradual improvement. I just use them occasionally now.

The mental problems associated with peyronies is real and can do a lot of damage. You need to get a game plan and stick with it. You very well may benefit from being proactive in starting some treatment even though time has passed. Getting a working plan may help you mentally because you are now educating yourself and doing something. It does take time thou. You must have patience and keep the mindset that this is a marathon and not a sprint. We have all had to deal with the anxiety and worry regarding this awful disease as it affects our manliness. If you do need counseling do not be ashamed of it either. Read the forum and you will get some encouragement and you will make it through this!   :)
