Hey guys, I've been attempting to use my RestoreX for the past few days with little success.

In fact, the whole thing is making me even more anxious in that I'm making my Peyronie's Disease WORSE by not using the device correctly.

Anyway, it would be AMAZING if you lot could help me out with some of my questions/concerns:

1) I must stretch my penis out to fit the clamp of the RestoreX during set-up to use the device. Is this okay? As my stretched penis length is around 14cm (maybe a bit longer), but when flaccid it's very short – so I must pull and hold my penis head in place as I press the clamp down. Again, is this a problem?

2) I'm uncircumcised, and the instructions tell me to "tape my foreskin down". Is there a more detailed explanation of how I'm meant to do this?

3) My penis keeps slipping out multiple times during use. Perhaps the makeup pads I'm using are wrong and I should try use the tape. But in the meantime, are there any extra tips to keep my penis in place?

4) Being that my penis keeps slipping out, I must ensure that my penis head is deep inside the clamp. But now I'm worried that if some of my shaft gets clamped, that will cause even more Peyronie's. Is this the case – or am I worrying too much? Again, I'm not trying to clamp my shaft – but I need to ensure that the head of my penis is deep within the clamp so it doesn't slip out constantly.

Really appreciate it guys!

Hello , I am a long time restoreX user.. about 2 years now. I can answer your questions :

1) I and most of us have the same problem where the penis once it's flaccid is not as flexible unless body is in completely relaxed and warmed state... you need to do 2 things :-
A)take out the clamp and put  your penis through the restore X hole. Once through the hole, firmly clamp the entire glans in the clamp, only THEN put the clamp back to the restore x device. This allows you to pull the clamp with your penis attached directly on the restore X device giving you easier leverage.
B) try and make yourself warm if possible like wearing socks or turn on heating to keep the penis flexible.
2) pull your foreskin completely back and wrap the coban wrap around the glans, the foresting should not be part of the wrap or go in the clamp. I do not tape my foreskin separately, I just pull it back and wrap the glans only.
3) restore x needs a really firm grip, you almost always need a good amount of wrap around your glans, makeup pads alone always cause slippage for me as well.
4) you are right that the glans need to be deep within the clamp, the tip of your glans should be touching the top of the clamp... the shaft sometimes towards the bottom of the glans is clamped for a firm grip, as far as I know, there is very little chance of it causing peyronies and has never caused me any problem as Peyronies almost always happens due to trauma on an ERECT penis.... If you apply pressure or stretch your penis in a reasonable natural  limit while flaccid , it will NOT cause peyronies.

Have you checked the clamp adjustment on the left hand side? The clamp is secured with two small screws and three notches-you can adjust the tightness of the clamp depending on anatomy and also if you're using makeup pads you might want to adjust the opening by a notch
Age 37. First symptoms Jan 2019. Small (4mm) calcified plaque near head, and narrowing near plaque, last 1/3 of shaft. Used pentox for 1 year. Still using tadalafil 5mg, coq10. VED & mild traction helping w/ erection quality

Good advice and I add that I take a warm washcloth for 5 minutes to relax my penis completely before doing any traction or VED for that matter. You can use more that 2 makeup pads. You can also use the tape but it is not necessary if you get enough of the pads in there. I would fool around with the adjusting screws in the clamp. Just do not over tighten things as it is plastic and can be cracked. Also retract your foreskin as this will only pull your skin and not your internal tissues. There is a slight learning curve with using it but we have all gone through the same thing that you are experiencing. Go slow and low.

Thanks so much mate for such a helpful reply. I must say, the past few attempts things have gotten a LITTLE better as I've put my penis deeper into the clamp.

Also, I'll try your trick regarding putting my penis into the clamp when it's unattached from the device. (It made me feel like I had the smallest penis on earth, so I'm glad I'm not the only person who has to do this.)

Also handy to know some men need both tape and the makeup pads, as I thought it was one or the other.

Another question, any idea what the generic name of the tape is called so I can purchase more locally?

Finally, after two years, have you seen any positive results?

Thanks mate, yes, I ended up going "up a notch" with the makeup pads that I use, as I feel they are rather thick. I may have to order the ones recommended here from Amazon US just to see the difference. (Only problem is the huge cost of importing them!)

Thanks again mate, you're a fantastic help to all of us here. And good tip re cracking the device, as sometimes to get the "third" click of the clamp I have to really apply some pressure.

I'll keep playing around with things and see how I go. I think perhaps the best change I made was not being so scared to place my penis deeper into the clamp. As today I had a successful 13 minute straight session with no slips. The reason I was so timid of placing my penis deeper into the clamp was the fear that clamping the shaft of my penis would cause even more Peyronie's.

Another thing, if I pull my foreskin back and hold it while clamping in place, can I avoid needing to tape every time?

Also, I think you checked out the makeup pads I use and thought they were okay?

Also, regarding heat, I have a heating pad so I'll try that out before my next session.

Those makeup pads should work if they are like a sponge. You can fool around and just use 2 of them or add a 3rd and you shouldn't need to use any tape. With the heating pad be sure to use it on it's low setting. You do not want to burn yourself as your skin is sensitive. As you use it more and more you will find what works for you.

Thanks mate! Well, I've aleady used the heating pad this morning, so hopefully I didn't burn myself. Guessing it's rather obvious if you do?

Also, I've had two successful 13 min straight, 2 min bent RestoreX sessions today – with only a few slips.

Not top sure how I'm going to do going from 2 mins to 15 mins bent in one go, however. As it certainly hurts when in the bent position.

Curvedcarnivore:

I wouldn't worry about making peyronies worse by not using the device incorrectly. Unless you are doing more time under traction that was recommended on the instruction booklet.
There are a few topics here regarding the struggles with the device you are having. But they are somewhat hard to find.

Like others have said already, you can detach the clamp from the device, clamp it down on the ridge behind the glans and then stretch it out and put it in place. From there on, just use the device as indicated.

As for being uncircumcised, it took me some time to understand what to do and a member named jj21 helped me out a great deal. He was uncut too. You have to stretch back all the foreskin and then you will have access (if one can say this) to the ridge just under the glans without a problem. It even helps to make it looser like that.

If your penis keeps sslipping out then you are not clamping down hard enough. After you put the penis on the device and give it some stretch, clamp down another notch from what you normally do. You shouldn't feel any pain. But after it's clamped down the tissue compresses down and it may come loose if it's not tight enough. Requires some experimentation and courage. Lol

So if you clamp down right and are using make up pads, it won't slip out.

Thanks for your reply Pfract!

I needed to hear that at the moment, as I just had another troublesome RestoreX session.

I had trouble with the tape, worried I put my penis too deep within the clamp, the thing hurt, and then worried I once again made my Peyronie's worse.

I think what's also setting off my anxiety is having to face how my penis looks several times a day.

Anyway, very much hope this helps and I can get back to feeling like me again one day.

Just a quick update: I've managed to work out the device and can now do two 30-minute sessions at day set at the greatest bend setting. Thanks everybody for the help.

For anyone else new reading, I found I had to use both the makeup pads AND the tape.

Th makeup pads provide a greater gripping action. I'm sure along with the tape it provides excellent holding power.

These are great news, CurvedCarnivore!

I am glad that you were able to work it out. Hopefully you see some gains from traction in the near future. I forgot to share last time i replied to you, but please have a look at my traction diary. https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,17356.msg150174.html

I haven't done traction in quite some time, but when i did i detailed everything there as best as i could.

Thanks, mate, that will be an interesting read!
