Hello guys.

I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself and thank all the current members for all their help, as I've learned a lot from browsing as a guest.

I'm a 41-year-old Australian and noticed the bend and hourglassing several months back and got myself into an ABSOLUTE PANIC for the ages. I went to my GP who thinks I have Peyronies Disease, and I'm waiting to see a Urologist in December.

I haven't yet "accepted" how things are going, yet after a lot of research, I most definitely think this disease was caused by my poor diet.

I say this because, over the past six months, I've had health problem after health problem – and the common link for them all has been diet. So I believe I wasn't "extremely unlucky" to score seemingly unrelated health issues all at the same time, yet sugar/insulin caused them all! (Further to this, I had "no" idea what I was eating was unhealthy. I was sure carbs like brown rice and wholemeal bread were the peak of healthy eating.)

So, in saying that, I'm most hopeful that a ZERO CARB diet/way of eating will be the silver bullet for this disease. (I'm currently 35 days or so STRICT carnivore.)

However, I will keep researching and joining in here as we beat this together.

Thanks again everybody.

Welcome Curvedcarnivore to the forum and thank you for filling out your signature line! Also if you have not done so please download and read our survival guide -->Survival Guide .

So you believe that your diet has caused this which is a possibility. Many men have it flare up for no appparent reason. Body inflammation can be a culprit and lowering it can help. Peyronies is a healing disease and thrives in an inflamed state. A zero carb diet or a keto diet have been known to reduce insulin levels and reduce inflammation. My wife lost about 25 lbs in 4 months doing this and reduced her insulin levels considerably.

How are your morning erections? Are you in any pain and are there any deformities? I would take some preliminary measurements of your penis for future reference.

Before you go into your new Dr's appointment you should have a list of questions written down to be answered. Hopefully you can get a Doppler ultrasound performed. Keep educating yourself regarding peyronies and do try to keep the worrying down as it does a lot of damage.

Changing your diet will have a long term health benefit to your body. My biggest challenges for me over the years has been in the candy/sugar department. When I eat clean I feel a lot better and my BP is lower and I sleep better. Cialis will also help in erection quality and healing by reducing inflammation. Also educate yourself on VED and traction therapy to see if this is something also you might try.  :)

Same here Mike, sugar has been my demon. I am also certain diet/smoking/nicotine definitely is a factor, not the only factor but most definitely a contributing factor. I used nictoine pouches for 8 years. This has permanently damaged my circulation. I quit for 2 years then recently went back due to stress dealing with this whole Peyronies issue, losing my mother to MS in 2019 and living under absolute neighbors from hell constant banging/children running around 24/7 I felt like I am losing my mind and thought I was getting MS myself and even went to get a brain MRI. it was during this period that I developed Peyronies. It was less than year after my mother passed that I developed the disease. My diet went to crap and I started developing all sorts of issues. Then I got covid 2 times and it all went to hell from there and that is where the Erectile Dysfunction began for me.

I also remember I did not masturbate for 4 months after my mother died due to severe depression/complete panic state. This along with the crippling stress I went through I would say is most definitely what caused it. Giving a bit too much personal info here but I definitely believe and have also heard that super stressfull events can be a trigger.

As Mike said clean diet reduces inflammation all over the body whilst also lowering insulin levels which is a key to having healthy blood flow and stronger erections. I have a plan of cleaning up my diet completely and invest in a VED and do the one cylinder protocol on here. If that doesn't work with time then I am truly completely f'~c<+d.

Wow. I'm sorry about what you've been through, Sonic. And Peyronies Disease on top of it. You're a strong guy to get through all of that with a pretty good attitude.

I can vouch for doing keto, I've been on the Virta program for over a year and lost about 40 pounds so far. The best part is just feeling more energetic, which starts the ball rolling into a better lifestyle. It hasn't affected my Peyronie's though, as far as I can tell, because that started about the same time as the keto, and it has been acute for about the same period. But RestoreX traction has certainly been effective to restore length and maybe even some width and curvature correction after about eight months of 30 minutes every morning while battling the acute phase.

Thank you Rex. Happy to hear about your diet and your results both in terms of Peyronies and overall health!!

I am trying my absolute best to see the light in the darkness and not give up on hope but I tell ya, some days are extremely rough, but I have accepted with these 3 years of the disease now that it's an up and down battle. I will never give up and will keep trying different approaches. All the best to you!

This forum can be a big help for many issues, including the general outlook of marathon mode versus sprint. The vast majority of us panicked a lot at the onset of this disease and wanted to correct it now. But taking time to plan an attack and do research helps the mental state so much that it's critical to keep learning and be patient.

Hello and welcome.

Diet will definitely help you.

Absolutely write your questions down or put them in your phone.  Once you get in the examination room, your mind will go in so many different directions.

All the best!

Hello mate, thank you so much for your reply.

And yes, I do believe this was due to diet, namely sugar and insulin wreaking havoc.

So my greatest hope for reversing this disease is diet along with traction (I'm going to purchase a RestoreX today). I've also switched to OMAD (one meal a day) and am only eating beef, water, and salt. I've already lost a crazy amount of fat in these 50 or so days, so I very much hope it's doing the same positives to my insides.

It's also great to know that other members have suspected diet as the cause and have had Peyronies Disease recovery when they removed all carbs and other toxins from their diet.

My morning erections do not feel great. Maybe at half-strength even on Cialis. But it's better than the zero morning erections I was having before going carnivore and then taking Cialis.

I'm not sure about deformities. Sometimes I'm certain I have them, other times I don't. I'm hoping the urologist can confirm when I finally get to see him in December.

Finally, in regards to questions for my urologist, I'd love your advice on what I should ask? Also, what sort of measurements should I be taking – and is their a guide for how to do this?

I think the greatest suffering I'm having from this disease is mental. Sometimes I can be feeling okay, then other times I can spiral down into some truly dark thoughts.

Thank you, I have to say, my mental health has been the biggest sufferer from Peyronies Disease. I often have no idea how to think about having this disease or how to cope on occasion. But, I'm trying to accept it and have some healthier thoughts towards it. It helps to see people here getting on with things and still having a life after Peyronies Disease.

Also, what do you think of my current battle plan:

Diet (zero carbs + one meal a day fasting)
Traction (ordering a RestoreX)
Resting my penis (no masturbation/sex)

I'm thinking of stopping all the supplements I'm taking, as worried they will break my fast or interfere with my carnivore diet.

Thank you, I'm hoping my action plan of DIET, TRACTION, and RESTING MY PENIS will be the silver bullet to treat this disease. Would love some advice on what questions I should be asking. Thank you.
