I've been a long-time lurker and recently signed up to start asking questions and hopefully start engaging.

61 years old and I've been dealing with moderate ED for about ten years. Thyroid, testosterone and some experimental treatments all kept me in the game – with some occasional Trimix.

Last month, I had some minor curvature and went promptly to the urologist. Yup, Peyronie's but early. Turns out 80%-strength erections have their own risk; or maybe it was to 500th injection of Trimix.

My urologist suggests that there are only a few clear treatments for Peyronie's: Xiaflex, traction, Pentox and an implant. Xiaflex works well for some, works a little for some, and has dreadful side effects for a very few. Traction works well for some, works a little for some, and has no real risks. Pentox works a little for some. And the Implant is the gold standard, works great for almost everyone – but it is also the last great journey.
So, I'm trying traction and Pentox for the next eight weeks. And trying to decide the next big step.

Thanks for making this forum.

Have been dealing with moderate ED for many years, originally needed thyroid and testosterone, then using Trimix.
Recently diagnosed with Peyronie's - early.
Treating with Traction and Pentox. Don't know the next steps.

Welcome Yodarb to the forum and thank you for filling our your signature line! Also please feel free to download our survival guide --> Survival Guide .

Trimix has been known to be a culprit for peyronies and I would recommend ceasing any further injections. Yes Xiaflex can be successful if administered from an experienced Dr. Have you heard about Dr Trost? He has developed a specific methodology for administering the Xiaflex injections with a great deal of success for his patients. Do you have the means to inquire of him for a visit? An implant is considered the last choice but not necessarily an inferior choice. You just need to make sure that your Dr is a high volume Dr with a high success rate. Dr Eid in New York is the Dr I am talking about and I would only go to him If I needed an implant.

I would try to stick with the current treatments and see how things work. Are you currently on testosterone replacement? Are you taking thyroid meds?  Remember that with peyronies treatments that this is a marathon and not a sprint. Take time and read the forum and learn from the other members experiences. No Dr will give you the information that you will receive here.  :)
