Hi all, wanted to share some insights and also ask for feedback regarding the Restorex and acute stage.

There aren't many good studies in Peyornie's  :( , but some of the best are regarding PTT!

First, we have the non-randomized study by Martinez-Salamanca (Full Study) where there is a significant curvature reduction and length gain, particularly in patients that had symptoms for less than 3 months.

Secondly, we have the clinical trial of the Penimaster by Moncada (Full study) where there was also significant reduction of curvature and length gain, particularly in those men using the device between 6-8 hours every day.

Finally, the great clinical trials regarding Restorex (Full study).

Some notes:
1) In the Restorex studies, there was no difference between the control group vs the group using 1st generation devices (the most common device of this type was Andropeyronies). However, the mean use was 10 hours weekly, far too low from the recommended 6-8 hours daily. Anecdotally, Dr. Josuha Savage (one of the doctors behind the Restorex study) told me that he remembers a patient using that type of device a lot more than the 10 hour weekly average and experiencing great results.
2) As Dr. Trost mentions, this 1st generation devices seem to be much more effective in the acute phase vs chronic phase (link)
3) The Restorex studies only had 3 patients in the acute phase, and since it's such a low number, they didn't categorise it.

So, as far as I can tell Penimaster and other similar devices usually work very well when using them between 6-8 hours a day, and there seem to be greater improvements in the acute stage. There is no scientific data backing Restorex in the acute phase at the moment. One of the top urologists at the Martinez-Salamanca clinic, Dr. Esau Fernandez, recommended Restorex over Penimaster, since it's a better device, recognising that none of his patients had used it since it's not available in Europe yet. Dr. Josuha Savage also thinks that Restorex will probably be better, but we just don't have the data.

So, what's been your experience so far? Has anyone used Restorex or Penimaster within the first 3 months?
