Hello,

I'm Al. I used to have an active sex life and then my GF and I broke up and a long time lapsed. I knew that if you don't get erections for a long time, it is bad for the penis (penis is in something of a state of necrosis during flaccid state which is postulated to be one of the reasons for nocturnal erections). I noticed that after exercise, my penis looked like a tiny hourglass and it would get super small which was concerning but still achieved more than 6 inchs erect and maybe a tiny bit more if super excited. I tried masturbating but went a month or two without any erections that I'm aware of. Then, suddenly, one day I masturbate and a whole can be seen as if someone did a scope on the right side of my dick. That turned into an indention, matched by the left side and a bend of 45 degrees or so when erect and super pronounced (I discovered yesterday) when I orgasm - maybe as much as 90 degrees when orgasm. Obviously, this is very concerning to me. My love life has been eradicated for years and having a love and friend to call my lover is about the most important thing to me at this phase and the continuing phases of life (it's not about the most important... it's the most important). I rushed to the doctor when I found this condition and find that no one is all that anxious about it at the urology center. I have been living out of the country for a while so don't have insurance and this happening sheds light on how gross the US insurance/health world is. After being quoted $104,000 for 8 injections of Xiaflex (which may or may not solve the problem), I came here looking for help. I don't know what the answer to this problem is but I'm not paying $104,000 for it unless I get some windfall and otherwise, I am glad to meet you guys here and hope that we can support each other through this tragedy to gain some function and enjoyment of being men. Thanks for making this forum.

Welcome Collusus to the forum. As Stabler has informed you please follow her directives as to filling out your signature line. Also please download our survival guide and study it -->Survivla Guide .

You need to be examined and diagnosed by a peyronies Dr if that is all possible. Xiaflex treatments can be successful if administered by a qualified Dr that knows what they are doing. I can suggest Dr Trost who is based in Utah as such a Dr. He does some online virtual visits. Being out of the country though I am not sure.

You can look into our VED protocol and also using a traction device. The two we use here are the Restorex and the Penimaster Pro. You should also try some Cialis or Viagra to promote erections and bring healing/fresh blood into your penis. One thing that is also most important is for your to educate yourself about peyronies as many Dr's are clueless about it and treating it. Being without insurance is not good as Xiaflex is costly.

Hey Al, welcome aboard!

Mikel and Stabler pretty much summed it up but i wanted to add something to the topic. I was left with the impression that you meant that you had no erections because you stopped having a girlfriend. Was this correct?

IF so, you would still have erections during nighttime. Probably happened soon after you broke up and you thought it was related. There could be an underlying issue with your erections that you could try to see where it comes from. Low testosterone, hypertension, diabetes.... an array of things can cause ED. Depression also (psychogenic ED) causes it.

You would have to deal with the curve and the ED somewhat separately. Have you tried ED medications at any point? They are the very first things Dr's normally start you on and it can greatly improve your erections in many cases, which also helps with peyronies not progressing as much.
