Pain with RestoreX

Hey there,

I was diagnosed with acute Peyronie's (right side curve) a few months ago and just started RestoreX treatment. Things were fine during the first week where I did 3 short sessions each day. I'm on week 2 now when you switch to two longer sessions each day, and I started getting some pretty uncomfortable and lasting pain right where my curve begins.

It's a dull ache that gets more intense and a little burny right after a treatment session, but still exists throughout the day.

I've gone back to three short sessions a day for now, but the pain is still there. Do I need to stop treatment? Is this normal?

Not experienced with traction but one thing I know for sure is that pain is never a good sign. Either you need to lower the traction force and if that doesn't work I would consult your urologist because pain might make things worse.

My experience with Restorex is that you need to feel a pulling force but with out pain. Yes there can be a dull ache but since you were just diagnosed a couple of months ago you are probably still in the acute stage. I would say just cut back to even just 1 session a day and see how things are. I definitely would say to add heat therapy as this will heal things quicker and bring relief from the pain.
Also did your Dr suggest Cialis? This will also assist in healing and lowering inflammation. Did you also take some preliminary measurements of your penis? You have caught things early enough and have a better chance of preventing any further damage. Remember though that this is a marathon and not a sprint.

Update: I stopped restorex use completely for a week, and refrained from any sexual activity to give things time to heal. After that week I gave myself an erection and noticed a brand new tight strand of tissue on the top of my penis that was not there before. In addition, I had pain in the area that was new. I had not experienced a painful erection until this point. Restorex very clearly made my condition worse, so proceed with caution if you plan to use it for yourself.

It is possible that the device caused this but you must remember that you are in the, "acute" stage of peyronies. You are only about 3 months in from you saying this started with you in June. This is the beginning stage and things can change over night sometimes with new plaques and lumps and pain forming.  My acute stage lasted about 12 months before things quieted down. There were days when the pain was gone and then bam a new round lump appeared out of nowhere for no apparent reason. My curvature appeared when I was not in pain and I was also not having any sex. It was all very mysterious and unpredictable.

That's good to know, thanks. I hope it wasn't due to traction because I'm not terribly interested in surgical treatment options. Maybe I can retry restorex in the future.
