Hook

Just to quickly introduce myself.  I'm a 55 year old, white collar professional type.

I have been enjoying the single life for several years after a divorce.  Had a very active sex life, with multiple partners, until one day a few months ago I ran into a very exuberant cow girl, who seemed to just slam herself down on me with very little control or care, ... and my dick slipped out and got crushed.

Didn't seem like a big deal at the time; just some minor discomfort.  Continued to have bit of pain during sex for a few weeks.  Then the pain disappeared, but my penis started pointing more and more up.  Soon reached about 50-60 degrees upwards curve, with some shortening.  (Now I squirt myself in the face when I masturbate  :-\ ).

I have been able to continue to have an active sex life with my regular partners.  But, just recently I spent a night with a new woman.  She is absolutely gorgeous and sexy; but the sex was just very awkward.  I had such a hard time penetrating her and the whole thing was just embarrassing.

That's what has now motivated me to do something about this.  I saw a urologist who said he couldn't do anything for me, except refer me to a surgeon, in case I wanted to go that route.  Suggested that, since I'm capable of sex, I should just leave it.  He didn't even mention traction devices until I asked him about it.

So, even though I am functional I'm not content to just leave it.  I'm getting a RestoreX, hoping to reduce my curve by at least half and to maintain or regain size.

I'm not too hopeful, and this is causing me increasingly low mood and lack of confidence.  But I try to see the glass as half full; my enjoyment of sex most of the time is not diminished, and there are women out there who seem to enjoy the extra g-spot stimulation.

Welcome Hook to the forum! The first line of business is for you to fill out your signature line -->Signature Line . This will give you a better member response. Secondly you need to download and study our survival guide -->Survivla Guide . This is our comprehensive list regarding peyronies and its different treatments.

So the injury that you sustained was from intercourse with a woman on top. This type of injury is common in this position and can result in an upward curvature.. So when it occurred you did not feel any pain?

It sounds like your urologist is uneducated in peyronies and I would suggest seeking out another one. Also have you done any preliminary measuring of your penis? Length and girth so to speak for future reference if things progress more.

Read the survival guide so you can be more educated on things. You need to look into traction and VED therapy. Xiaflex therapy can produce some good outcomes when it is given by a qualified surgeon with experience. Dr Trost is one of those Dr's who has developed a very skilled method of administering it. I would keep the idea of surgery way back in your mind and try other non invasive treatments first.

Also how are your erections? It sounds like you have no difficulty achieving one, Cialis though can help with keeping inflammation down and provide needed oxygen and healing to your penis.

There is a learning curve in using the Restorex but it is well worth it. Look into using the makeup pad mod as this will provide gripping comfort. You already have a good mindset regarding your injury and that is a step forward. Peyronies and any injury to the penis wreaks havoc on the emotional psyche of a man. Develop the mindset that this is a marathon and not a sprint when it comes to healing. Read through the forum and you will gain a lot of insight as to what has worked for a lot of us men here.

Thanks Mike. To answer your questions:

Yes, the accident happened with a woman on top in a reverse cowgirl position (facing away from me).  Should have seen it coming, the way she was going.  There was a sharp, but brief, pain at first, but then only mild pain with erections for a few weeks, which faded away as the curve began to appear.

My erections are fine most of the time, but perhaps not quite as firm as before.  And even with a full erection, there is a bit of floppiness right at the curve.  I have to be very careful when entering, and then make sure it doesn't accidentally slip out.  I do use Cialis occasionally, and have for a few years, not because of real need but because I find that it amplifies the pleasure. I do okay without it.

Haven't done any measurements yet.  Will get on it this weekend.

As for treatment: yes, I'm in no rush to go the surgery route.  I'm going to try the RestoreX for a few months.  Xiaflex is apparently not approved for funding under the government healthcare system here (because the cost to benefit ratio doesn't justify it, I'm told), so that would be a significant out-of-pocket cost.  The urologist told me about a privately run clinic in town, where they would be more than happy to put me through all kinds of non-surgical treatments, but said that most likely I would spend tens of thousands of dollars for little to no benefit.

From your description of symptoms it sounds like you just endured a fracture of your penis. I would try some traction and VED therapy. You seem to have a level thinking head about things and that is great . Keep educating yourself about peyronies though.

I received my RestoreX this afternoon.  Set it up and did my first 10 minute session as recommended (8 mimutes straight and 2 minutes bent).  Can't say I'm looking forward to an hour of this every day for months to come.  One problem will be finding the time to do this consistently, especially on the days I have my kids (3 to 4 days each week).

The prescription is 2×30 minutes per day.  Can I do one 60 minute session instead on the days I have the kids?  Or does that mess it up?

You need to have a break in between sessions to give your penis fresh blood and a rest. You could do a 30 minute session early in the A.M after waking up then another one right before you retire for the day.
