Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to look at this message and apologies for the length. I recognize that obviously this is an Internet forum, not a place to get diagnosis. But this has been bothering me and wanted to get your input. Here's the rundown of my story:

- In April 2023, I injured my penis during vigorous intercourse with my partner, slipped out in missionary. Felt a bit of pain but was able to maintain an erection and finish.

- The next few days I had pain like a UTI - urethra felt like it had razor blades inside; felt like someone was poking me with a sharp needle repeatedly; strong burning and stinging while peeing.

- Went to the GP and they said it doesn't look like a fracture at all, you'd notice it obviously. Did a dip test and said I have a UTI... but they didn't send the culture to the lab. But with the dip test from what I understand it just detects blood not the bacterial culture.

- Took the UTI antibiotics and felt better within a couple of days, pain went from a 8/10 to like a 2/10. But the pain didn't completely go away.  A week later I noticed pain in the left side of my penile shaft and it's been persistently like that from then to now. I would say that the pain has gotten better overall but it's still there...

- Tests I've done: flaccid ultrasound (results: normal dorsal, ventral, left lateral and right lateral aspects of soft tissue. No evidence of scar or calcification detected within the shaft), bladder ultrasound (results: normal), blood tests (normal).

- I saw a Urologist recently and he was very dismissive... didn't care to see the ultrasound, said a lot of things like so you read up on peyronies, you tell me if that's what you have, and I said I'm not sure I have a slight curve but I think it's always been there, not sure if I have a plaque because I'm not entirely sure what it feels like. He said... it's your penis you would know it better than I do. Also said guys don't get bladder infections and UTI so he doesn't think I actually had one even if the GP said I did. I know it's more uncommon for guys but I've had one or UTIs when I was younger... I remember the feeling of stinging and burning urination, inflamed urethra and having to take antibiotics. Also said that ultrasound are useless for these things.  Anyways he ruled out
prostatitis after examination, palpated my penis and said my penis feels a little firmer in flaccid state but that could be normal or it could be subtle plaque, he's not sure. So I asked him what would be your diagnosis? He said there's nothing conclusive, there's no evidence of plaque, your right and left side are comparable. If anything there's a little firmness in your penis on the top dorsal near the base... it could be a plaque but it could also be normal anatomy. But he also said it's no coincidence though that you experienced pain after your injury, so it's most likely mild peyronies, but it's not completely conclusive. He said I most likely had a "micro trauma", he called it breaking your penis, but also not really breaking it (not a fracture)

My symptoms:

- Pain on the top left penile shaft at the site of injury. The pain sensation is sort of like if someone is pinching you or stuck a small needle in there.
- Pain at the site that's seemingly random. For instance walking on a bumpy road, cold water, coughing, sneezing, driving, sitting for too long, lifting anything like weights
- The injury site feels tender and bruised to touch
- Flaccid state feels a little firm. But this isn't all the time
- Erect state does have a curvature of approx 10 degrees. I never paid much attention to my penis before this, but I've always had a slight left curvature, but I also suspect it's because I use my left hand to masturbate.
- Slight stinging while urinating (not always, maybe 1/5 urinations)

Urologist also said there's not much to do to treat Peyronies Disease anyhow and that surgery is the only option but that's for people with a significant bend. He said the only thing to do is mainly take vitamin E, traction, and anti-inflammatories. It's a wait and see situation.

TLDR: injured penis during intercourse with partner on a mid-thrust. Also got treated for a UTI which urologist indicated may be a false-positive. Took UTI medication and felt better, but mild pain still lingers months after. Ultrasound indicates no plaque, scar or calcification. Urologist palpates penis shaft and said no conclusiveness of plaque, but my penis does feel a little firmer in flaccid state but that could also be a part of normal anatomy. I asked him for his diagnosis, said he isn't sure but based on my pain and timeline he said it's probably not a coincidence and probably mild peyronies.

I'm really unsure what to think and make of this, I feel like on the next steps. What do you guys think? I'm still figuring out is it really Peyronies Disease, or could it be hard flaccid, or pelvic floor issues, or whatever else. I also do have another appointment to see a different urologist in November... so hopefully I can get multiple opinions.

Welcome MisterFreedom to the forum. Thank you for your very detailed first post! Now could you please fill out your signature line -->Signature Line . This will give you a better member response. Also you need to download and read our survival guide -->Survival Guide . This is a comprehensive list regarding peyronies and it's treatments.

First thing I would say is to definitely dump your urologist. You are paying them for their service and this person appears to have no knowledge or understanding regarding peyronies. Many of us here have also had to switch Dr's because of their inexperience. Finding a peyronies Dr or one that will work with you can be difficult. Hopefully your upcoming appointment in November will be better.

It sounds like you possibly had a slight fracture during intercourse and a Uti for a man is possible. So the flacid ultrasound did not reveal much? You may possibly need one with an erection which would also give your Dr a picture of the internal blood flow.

Pain is an indicator that something is going on and you need to be careful with sex. Advil and heat therapy can help a little bit. You can also have some pelvic issues going on which will cause pain throughout your groin and penile area. There are youtube videos regarding such. You could have hard flacid also which is an area all by itself.

You should take some preliminary measurements of your penis in case things change. I would also educate yourself more on traction and VED therapy as it does help a lot of us regarding peyronies. The supplements also could be of some benefit , but i would also suggest getting on low dose Cialis if you can tolerate it. It will facilitate healing and promote erections.

Finally you need to have a list of questions for your next Dr's appointment. I take a clip board with me to every Dr's visit with everything written down I want to ask. You may not have peroneis and that would be great! If you do though remember that this disease takes time and patience as there is no easy fix. Read the forum and you will better educate yourself from other members experience.
