6 months into this, what should I expect???

It all started around 6 months ago, I noticed a small hard rounded lump near my urethra inside the middle of my shaft, Google said it wasn't cancer so I didn't worry that much, thought was a cyst or something. Then 3 others appeared, smaller but near to the original, one hard as the first and the other 2 softer and seemed connected, those two on the upper side of my shaft near the surface. I started feeling pain during sex and erections when at my hardest, it all started almost at the same time I begin having sex with a new girl whose vagina is smaller than usual, so I thought it was because she was too tiny, as the first lump appeared before her I don't think she caused it.

My penis always had a downward curve so I only went to the urologist when I was already 4-5 months in and because the pain was annoying, never enough to impede sex nor orgasm (and I was fearing it might be cancer). The Uro made manual exploration and determined it was Peyronie's, prescribed Colchicine 1mg and Vit E 400mg daily, told me to be careful during sex and the usual "wait and see". I went home, started the treatment and found this forum. Now, a week after that I found about Pentox and started taking it 400mg 3X a day, I asked the doc first and he said it was Ok. My pain during sex diminished considerably as well as the post coital soreness that I experienced before. I thought my penis didn't had any change, but on closer inspection I noticed my downward curve has diminished, my penis is straighter, and I have a dent on lower the right side, just above where the original nodule was, this apparently prevents that side from filling completely. I started taking Tadalafil 2.5mg daily (a 5mg pill cut in half) but was worried about tinnitus and lowered to 2.5 every other day. Pain comes and goes after sex, specially on the upper lump closer to the skin, but is really mild, more like an uncomfortable sensation than true pain, even when touching it hard or while having sex.

Lately I noticed I started losing more hair than usual, which dunno if it's related to Colchicine, stress, or both. Been considering dropping Colchicine due to my lurking in this forum showing me that it might cause more harm than good.

What should I expect??? 6 months in and really no big deformation, even the dent fills better with Tadalafil, haven't had loss of length or girth that I can notice with my measurements,if this is gonna be it then I can live with it,if it doesn't worsen. Does having sex carefully might worsen it??? I don't feel that much pain, it's more like an uncomfortable sensation, I've read that using helps but also the contrary.

I've read the Survival Guide and has helped me a lot, been lurking around your posts but couldn't comment because there was an issue with the emails and my account was not verified to post for weeks. I would really appreciate your insight, and thank you everyone for your knowledge and testimonies, helps us new guys to feel less lonely and lost.

Welcome V_Frost to the forum. The first line of business is for you to fill out your signature line -->Signature Line. This gives other members a quick snapshot of your history. It also appears that you have read our survival guide and that is good!

So your Dr diagnosed you with peyronies was this with an ultrasound? The pain you describe is only with erections/sex or very hard erections? You need to be careful with pain because it is a sign of something going on. You need to gauge your level of pain/discomfort and either abstain from sex completely or just be very careful/gentle.

The good thing I can say is that your downward curvature has been positively affected from peyronies. This is the first time I have read something from a member regarding this.

Tadalafil can help with erections and preventing inflammation and remember that tinnitus is considered a rare side effect of the drug. I would suggest dropping the Colhcicine and I understand your Dr wanting to use it. This drug is used for Gout treatments in regards to high uric acid. You should look into traction therapy to prevent any size/length loss and VED therapy. So you have taken preliminary measurements of your penis and also photos? This is valuable reference material if things change in the future.

Your hair loss is probably from stress and worrying about all of this. You need to remember that stress can produce a lot of bad physical things in our bodies.
Adopt the mindset that this is a marathon and not a sprint. Being part of this forum will give you a sense of stability that you are not alone in this and keep educating yourself about this awful disease.

Thanks Mikel7 for answering that fast, I've read a lot of your comments and you're the one who got me interested in the subject of Otoxicity and Cialis when I started taking it, I don't know if it was all suggestion or I already had it, but I experienced some degree of white noise in my ears after taking Tadalafil for the first time, nothing severe, but if it helps my penis I'll take the risk, also, do you know if splitting generic Tadalafil pills is harmful?

My diagnosis was with manual exploration, no ultrasound yet. Don't have Peyronie's experts on my city.

Before going to the Doctor I had pain when my erections were at it's maximum and during sex whenever my penis hitted inside the girl, but it was minimal, 3 out of 10 max. After going to the Doc and starting the Colch, Vit E treatment my pain started to subdue, I got into Pentox and now my pain is even less, only around 1-2 out of 10 when my erection is on max and during sex. Also the soreness after sex is now almost non existent while before treatment it could last a day or two after. That's why I hesitate on leaving Colchicine, don't know if it's related to my pain improvement, I've been in treatment only 5-6 weeks. Pain while flaccid is only present if my lumps are pressed, and even so it's really minimal.

I practice sex with way more care and caution and the inconveniences during and after have improved a lot, almost no pain/uncomfortable feeling nor soreness after, what should I do, stop sex entirely??? My girl is highly supportive and is willing to do anything to help me, she's been a beacon of hope in all this.

Funny thing, I always liked my downward curve, made my D more unique. I worked for years in the adult entertainment industry and the overall dimensions and shape of my penis always set me appart, I haven't loss my downward curve entirely, just a few degrees if you look carefully, still I would like to revover it, would traction or VED help me with this??? Or having my curve could have caused all this??? I'm 39 and for more than 20 years no issue during sex, girls loved how my curve felt so I would like to keep it, any ideas for this???

I also noticed I have a really small second indentation just above where my first one is, only noticeable with close scrutiny, can VED help filling them??? My loss of girth is minimal and I want to keep it that way. What do you recommend???

Due to my work in the Adult Entertainment world I have tons on pics and vids as reference material, which have been really helpful.

I've been taking Tadalafil every other day, 2.5mg, should I go daily??? Could adding Arginine for the PAV cocktail increase the Otoxicity risk???

I was thinking about topical Minoxidil to help my hair, do you think it might worsen my situation down there??? As is only a vasodilator I don't think is that dangerous, and even less in it's topical form, Finasteride on the other hand, that's true poison, I see a lot of people confuse and mix those two which are highly different.

Thank you so much for all your help, support and insight, this forum is so valuable for me, I started recognizing some of you through your comments, reading about your stories and knowledge really helps me feel like I'm not alone and there's a light at the end of this terrible twisted tunnel.

The Colchicine might very well be causing the hair loss.  It is a known, although not common, side-effect.  I would get rid of it.  It can be a nasty med with no established benefit to Peyronies Disease.

Minoxidil is a risk.  I personally would NOT take it.

Hawk, could you please explain me why Topical Minoxidil could be considered a risk??? I want to learn as much as possible.

Actually, I misspoke.  Minoxidil (Rogaine) is probably harmless as far as sexual side-effects are concerned.

Finasteride (Proscar) should be avoided.

Any information on oral minoxidil? Some research suggests it has some anti-androgen effects.

I can answer one question for you. The Cialis is a long acting tablet, as such it is coated, the pharma industry call this EC or enteric coating, I think it's designed to protect against the acid in your stomach....By splitting it you are damaging the protection and probably not getting the full effect of the medicine. I suggest getting a script for 2.5mg if it comes in that dose. Hope that helps a little.
