Is there much bad that can come from doing nothing to fix it? (letting it be)

So in short, I am much happier when not thinking about peyronies etc. My life continues, I carry on with my purpose and goals.

I am wondering if much harm would come if I was to just not do anything to try fix it anymore? Aka no ciailis + no VED.

I don't want to make it worse or lose any more length than I have I just want it to sit there and be patient until I can get an implant whenever that day will be. Do I have to be getting regular erections to keep it alive though?

Wish it was easy as having food poisoning or breaking an arm, you know the way out and what to expect. Not here, even with the help of urologists.

Having hour-glassing, there is always a higher risk of injury during intercourse only because it is weaker where the hourglass is. You could run the risk of more damage if you accidentally slipped out during sex and bend the penis where the weak area is.

This is not to say that you can't have sex but you need to be careful.

I think putting all this miserable stuff to the back of your mind is a very good idea if at all possible. God knows I try my damnest to forget about it all.

I think focusing on your goals is a very healthy and sensible thing. Nothing good comes from dwelling on a bad situation. Sadly I don't always practice what I preach and prone to regressions in mental health.

If you don't get regular blood flow, Ive seen it said that you can experience a degree of "atrophy" so I think carrying on with the Cialis wouldn't be a bad idea if it helps in this regard.

I agree that dwelling on the problem is counterproductive, but you can certainly take a Cialis every day without dwelling on the problem.

There is a saying that applies here, "Use it or lose it."  That does not mean you have to have intercourse or masturbate but from birth (actually before birth), the penis goes through erection cycles during the day and even more regularly at night.  This happens for a reason.  It keeps the tissue healthy with oxygen levels, so that should be supported.

If you get good erections either day or night then you are fine.  If not, then you have to use one of a few solutions to compensate for that.

1. Cialis daily
2. 1/2 of a 50mg Trazadone before bed (with a little snack). Very cheap and helps with sleeping erections
3. VED - more time-consuming and will make you focus on the problem.

Just eliminating masturbation will probably result in regular erections, so that might be all you need.  Totally ignoring it without any erections is very likely to result in permanent loss of size.

Stabler - It seems like intercourse is currently off the cards for me anyway even with pills so I probably won't be trying anything like that now until I have an implant

Andy - Right? It's like I think I'd be pretty happy in life right now if I didn't have a serious penis issue lol! I'll go about my life not thinking of it then remember and it changes the mood but I think it's got to the point now of having to accept this fully for what it is and focus on the present/enjoy life whilst preparing for an implant in the future.

I believe I have been affected with atrophy already as I've gone from taking cialis/using VED to having breaks and not even trying to get erect as I just didn't know what would be best for me so I think it's best I focus on continuous promotion of blood flow until implant.

Hawk - "use it or lose it" has been a quote in my head throughout all this although I've been back n forth on what is best but it does seem promoting blood flow is the way to go as mentioned it seems I've lost more legnth/more hourglass/atrophy looking from just letting it sit with no help.

Thanks all. Just did some VED excercise and took half a cialis. Will keep this up this week and see how I am the end of week. I have lost what feels like 2 inches at this point which is insane. Hopefully being consistent in treating will bring a bit of that back. Implant is on my mind and I guess it's best to just get my penis in the best shape it can be before that instead of letting it sit dormant - doesnt sound healthy

Regarding implant, spoke with Hakky briefly this week but cannot afford but also spoke with Dr Ralph in the UK - if anyone has more thoughts on him feel free to share, i've searched his name in the forum and read up good/bad so it's a wary one but it might be my only choice)

Thanks all. I'll probably update this at the end of week to see if any progress.

Yes I know it is difficult but you seem to be managing well under the circumstances.

If you feel you are struggling and want a sympathetic ear then feel free to PM.

This is a marathon, not a sprint.  You are not likely to see a lot of progress in a week or two, maybe none.  It would be like a member of an African tribe trying to stretch their lip in a week.  It just does not work like that.

Also, the importance of blood flow is not a theory.  It is critical for you to maintain penile health.
