So! Got a sex injury in December 2022, I had what one urologist thought was Peyronies, he prescribed me 6 injections of verapamil. I didn't want to do that so I got a second opinion, and the second doc just told me to take Cialis and coq10. He thinks I didn't have Peyronies, felt no plaques on two separate visits.  I had some hourglassing and increased bending from the injury. The first doc said he felt a plaque.

6+ months later and the hourglassing has mostly stopped but my penis is still not 100%. I can have sex thankfully but it still bends when flaccid and looks a little darker/bruised on the Peyronies side. I have been way more gentle with my penis since the injury. Seeing the 2nd doc again (virtually) in august (he's a Peyronies specialist, unlike the first guy). But still want to make sure I'm on the best healing path. Has this happened to anyone else? Any insight is greatly appreciated, and this is a message to always get a second opinion!

Before your appointment you need to make a list of questions for the Dr. I would also insist on an ultrasound with an erection. It is difficult finding a Dr who is experienced in treating peyronies. We need to be better educated than them and provide them with suggestions and then see their response. A good Dr is one that will listen to you and be honest and communicate back without an arrogant attitude. I cannot count how many Dr's that I have dismissed. Remember that they are there to serve and treat us not for us just to pay their salary.

You may very well be out of the acute stage at this point and only time will tell.

Normally.....  Peyronies causes a curve when you are erect and pain when you are erect. Your symptoms seem different in that yours is painful when flaccid.
