Had a doppler Ultrasound

Hello Everyone,

Wednesday I had a doppler ultrasound with an artificial injection erection. I have been stressing out since I first injured myself masturbating and have not really been getting erections or only temporary erections. I was triggered again when I saw that my penis wasn't filling out completely towards the top with the injection. However, when the Dr. performed the examination he found no or little scarring and no venous leakage. He said my erections were "excellent" and was trying to make me feel good. However, anytime I tried to ask a question he bulldozed straight through it. This isn't the first time I had a frustrating experience with him; however, there aren't many specialists in this thing that I can find.

He said I had no curve and very mild curvature upward ~20-25 degrees which doesn't bother me. He also said that the trauma is still healing and I most likely damages veins and nerves at the top and left of my penis. He prescribed 5mg tadalafil daily, and a follow-up in three months. However, when I tried to point out a deformity and change he made it sound like I was making it up. Or when I pointed out the ototoxicity reports of cialis he made it sound like I was crazy.

I'm glad that there isn't a venous leakage or functional issues with the blood flow, but the fact remains that I do not get erections like I used to and the shape, look, and feel of my penis is different. Also the is pain in a specific part of the penis flaccid and erect. He stated he doesn't think I have peyronies, just an injury but recommended against VED as it could cause further damage (and I fear causing damage) and said that the cialis should help me heal up. Also that my lack or erections are a combination of anxiety and pelvic floor dysfunction. This is all well and fine but I did not get any of my questions addressed and worse He bulldozed straight through my concerns and experiences. And I see my penis and feel I that I cannot maintain an erection.

Questions:
  • Would cialis help me heal?
  • Is no venous leakage or as he said "excellent" erection quality a sign that I'm going to make a complete recovery?
  • Anyone know of any specialist and compassionate doctor in NY (NYC area and Long Island) that actually listens to their patients and makes a full assessment?
  • Lastly, is generic Tadalafil 5mg safe for daily consumption?

I'm tempted to message the same doctor to see if he is willing to schedule an appointment for my questions, but given my experience with him, he would probably just blow me off. I'm beyond frustrated with this and have broken down in tears plenty of times. I'm going to sex therapy specialist, but just looking and walking around with my penis makes me break. I have even considered an implant in the future, but I'm single and don't think I can actually do that. I switch between just doing it and joining a buddhist monastery. This is a terrible condition for any man to go through.

Thank you for your help!

Here is our Dr's list from the forum -->Dr's List . It is great that you actually had an ultrasound but sorry for your Dr not listening and answering your questions.
If you can possibly find another Dr that is a bit more caring and listening then it would help you in the long run.  We have all been there when it comes to an uncaring Dr. I would say that he may have given you some good direction. 1: Cialis may very well help you with healing and it is worth a try. 2: You may look into pelvic floor dysfunction and look at this youtube video --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyGEVPuumtk .

The generic Cialis is just the same as the name brand and it performs the same. You may get some mild side effects but I say you should give it a try. Remember that worrying and stress will do just as much harm as the peyronies will. :)
Lump 4/2020, age 62 , Dr Levine 6-26-20, Dors Curve 11/2020, Peyronies
Vit E400mg, COQ10, Heat Therapy, Penimaster, Pentox, Cialis, Restorex
SNHL 7/2020 - Stopped all Meds because ototoxicity  Heat/traction/VED are working. CPPS Diagnosis - Stable :)

His advice after doing the ultrasound sounds reasonable. If you don't have venous leakage, it means that with medication even if you have ED the erection quality is going to be good and you will be able to have sex.
Taking daily cialis now is one of the best things that you can do. It helps to oxygenate the penis and promotes tissue healing, albeit very slowly. It will also help you regain your confidence. Doesn't mean you will make a complete recovery, but it is very good to be on it. At least for now.

As for Dr's in NYC, i don't know of any sexual medicine specialist. There is always Dr. Eid, but he is primarily focused on implants. Is having a video consultation with a Dr. from out of state a possibility?

Yes, it is super safe. I have been on it since 2015. I drink it with Alcohol and i have no side effects. I do take the 5mg. Mine is the official one, but i had the generic too and i found no difference.

It's encouraging to hear that you two agree with the course of action so far, but I can't help but feel like I'm being dismissed and do not have confidence in this course of action as a consequence. Sucks that I won't go back to 100% or close to it, but at this point I just want to get and keep an erection when I want/ can.

Pfact: I'm definitely open to out-of-state video consultations, but question how they'll be able to make an accurate assessment without feeling and seeing it in person. How have your experiences with video consultations been?

For an accurate assessment it would have to be in person, of course... But making a video call first can reassure you that that's the right thing to do! I enjoyed and found value in having a video consultation with Dr Hakky. The same for Dr Goldstein at the time, in 2016.
