Philbus

but very grateful this community is here, and considering my condition, it is good to be here. I've been lurking and reading many posts on here for a month, as well as researching elsewhere.

I am 55. My issues began 3 months ago. The appointment with my urologist was unhelpful ("wait a year to see what happens"). I have another appointment with a more knowledgeable practitioner in 3 weeks. I have excellent health insurance as well.

I had been on Trimix for a year. In late March, I had two injections which looked to have caused my problems, the second of which I could clearly see bruising.

I have an hourglass/hinge effect midpoint of the shaft.  Upwards curvature of approximately 40 degrees. I can feel a nodule towards the base of the shaft that is about 2 cm. I can also feel some scar tissue around the base of the shaft. No pain when flaccid and very little with an erection.

I have carefully been using a Ved to make sure I have blood flowing into the penis.

I have been on a significant supplementation regimen for a few years and take much of what is recommended here and elsewhere. I upped my L-Arginine and made sure I was more consistent with the others. I also have been massaging liquid CoQ10 directly onto the penis. Eh, it's healthy for skin anyway, and it looks to me every little bit helps.

Cialis 5 mg.

I have also been eating/cooking with certain foods which increase blood flow, blueberries, blackberries, ginger, turmeric, garlic, spinach, omega 3's, etc.

I am also taking intramuscular injections of Glutathione and NAD+. I used to take these on occasion, but now it's everyday (as my Doc has always recommended). I have not found much about these in regards to Peyronies but it would seem the antioxidant properties of Glutathione, the cellular repair/healing properties of NAD, and the effect they both can have on scar and Fibrous tissue, (albeit in other areas of the body), the reduction of collagen accumulation, might have some beneficial effect. If anyone has any insight or thoughts, I'd love to hear them.

Sigh......yeah this sucks. It is traumatic. It hits me occasionally and stops me in my tracks but I'm working through it each time, channeling it into doing the right things, the things I can do for now.  It certainly means feeling healthier overall. It really sucked to turn down a date last week with a woman I see occasionally, and we used to have great sex. "Well, I broke my Penis" is not a conversation I'm looking forward to having.

But, this is just the start and it seems to me that the hard work someone puts into this can significantly increase one's success rate.

Thanks for having this forum. Truly. It's been a godsend.

And please, any and all feedback welcomed.
Age 55. Onset April 2023. Hourglass and Hinge Effect midway on the shaft. 2 Cm Nodule at base of shaft. 40 degree upward curve. Will be seeing a qualified doctor end of July for proper diagnosis.

Welcome Philbus to the forum and thank you for filling out your signature line. Also you need to download and study our survival guide -->Survival Guide . This will educate you a lot and will give you a list of questions that you can ask your doctor. Hopefully you will be getting an ultrasound.Finding a peyronies Dr is a difficult task, but if you find a urologist that is kind and listens maybe he/she will be willing to work with you.

As you read the forum it is a sad fact that Trimix injections can and do sometimes cause the starting up of peyronies. Scar tissue is probably the main culprit from the injection and inflammation.

The supplements will not hurt you and may have a synergistic effect on you physically. The VED should also supply fresh oxygenated blood to your penis and help with stretching things gently out. Follow the forum protocol though as some men have gotten too ambitious and over pumped causing more damage.

I'm assuming that you are on 5mg of Cialis. It can really help you with erections and healing.

I do know that glutathione is a powerful antioxidant and scavenger in our bodies. It could also help with lowering inflammation. Watching your diet and sugar intake is also a great way to lower inflammation and also your blood pressure.

You seem to have the mental side of this under control and I applaud you! Stress and worrying actually make things worse. Developing a mindset that this is a marathon and not a sprint will help you out in the long run. Also the broken penis discussion with your partner will also bring you to closer than you realize. When you talk about something so personal to someone it shows them that you are making yourself vulnerable and that you care a lot. This in itself will bring you to closer together and maybe even spark a new creative area of your sexuality. Sex is more than intercourse and I don't need to elaborate.......

I would also take some measurements of your penis for a baseline for yourself and also write down ahead of time specific questions for your upcoming Dr visit. Study the forum as there is a wealth of knowledge here from our thousands of members. Remember we have all been down this road and together we can all make it to the finish line.
