urologist approved of VED, but said not to combine with Tadalifil?

After 4 months of waiting, my appointment with the urologist finally arrived yesterday.

He said that a VED could help fill out my indentation, but that VEDs probably wouldn't help guys who have curvature problems.  He also said to avoid tadalafil in combination with the VED, or else I'll "end up in the hospital."

But being on 2.5mg daily tadalafil and using a VED isn't dangerous as long as one follows the VED protocol, right?  I don't remember seeing anyone here warn against the combination.

This urologist was also totally dismissive of tadalafil as helping prevent fibrotic tissue formation, so I'm not sure how seriously to take everything he said.  (He also was very skeptical & dismissive of this site, taking vitamins, etc., but I didn't feel like arguing.)

I have never heard that VED is dangerous in combination with Tadalafil.

I guess what the urologist is getting at is that Tadalafil might not be a cure to Peyronies Disease on its own but it will most likely not make it worse. In fact, most research show that increased blod flow might contribute to prevent the condition from worsening.

One doc at one point warned me of Tadalafil because there is a miniscule chance of it causing priapism, which would indeed put you in the hospital. All other doctors since then has completely discarded this opinion, so that might also be what your doc was getting at.

I'd say VED, Tadalafil and any kind of antioxidants is a cost effective and non-invasive way of trying to stabilise your condition.

Hope that helps.

I'd imagine this is what the Uro meant, the risk of causing a priapism while low is there.

Hey JoeJoe:

I think your doctor is not up to date on the latest treatment protocols. It would be up to you to follow his advice, but here is what Dr. Trost lists on his website as the most recent info: https://malefertilityandpeyroniesclinic.com/peyronies/treatments/

I have never heard of anybody on this board having a priapism by just being on Cialis and using a VED, but the risk even tough very minor is there, especially if you have some underlying conditions. But provided you don't, you should more than likely be fine.

Any idea why Vitamin E and Carnitine are both "Recommended Against"?

JoeJoe: because they simply do not work. It has been shown time and time again. Nothing but placebo and old knowledge.

So, the urologist was dimissive of Tadalafil and this site. Uh huh. Tadalifil promotes blood flow to the (unit) and encourages stronger erections. Dr. Trost has a video where he theorizes that repeated weak erections may be a cause of Peyronie's disease. It seems strage that this doctor says Tadalafil + a VED are contra-indicated. By all means, use the VED with care but "end up in the hospital"?!?!?!?

Big red flag that he was dismissive of this site. Smug urologist who thinks he knows better than everyone else. This site provides an ocean of info regarding this disease that can be found no where else, countless of VED and Traction journals with pictures from different men.

We even have a special section with what I believe is the best Peyronies specialist in the world in Dr. Trost and even the greatest implant specialist in the world in Dr. Eid.

You should ask that doctor that if this site is so bad then how come they decided to join here to provide so many men on here with their expertise and knowledge.

Firstly, combining tadalafil with a vacuum erection device (VED) may not necessarily be dangerous if done correctly and under medical supervision. However, it's crucial to follow the specific protocol to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Regarding the urologist's caution about using tadalafil with the VED, it's essential to understand the reasoning behind the advice. Sometimes, certain medications or treatments can interact in unexpected ways, potentially leading to adverse effects. However, if you're already on a low dose of tadalafil and your doctor hasn't raised any concerns before, it might be worth seeking a second opinion or discussing this further with your healthcare provider.

Your health and well-being are paramount, so it's essential to make informed decisions based on reliable information and guidance from qualified experts.
