I just received the RestoreX device yesterday. Pretty cool. I will post updates about any progress or lack thereof here.

Current parameters are as follows:
  • 40 or 45 degree bend left and slightly up.
  • A couple palpable nodules and a kind of indented band of tissue that doesn't stretch much. I hope traction can help with this.

Daily Supplements
  • CoQ10
  • Vit D
  • Vit E
  • Sulfurophane from broccoli sprouts
  • DHA EPA
  • Going to order Acetyl L-Carnitine and L-Arginine
  • I also take collagen every day for other reasons

Will hopefully be seeing a urologist sometime in the next 6 months (have been referred but haven't heard back). I'll probably add pentox and maybe cialis at that point but it sounds unlikely from what I've read that the supplements will have an appreciable effect on curvature.

Will start the RestoreX protocol today or tomorrow and continue for the recommended treatment period or longer. I also intend to see if CCH is available and potentially pursue that approach later on if it seems like a good idea.

I would be really happy if I could get the average 17 degree reduction in curvature from RestoreX.

Couple questions:

Q1. I will be travelling for 1 week in April and 1 week in May and will probably not have much privacy during those periods. Will missing these days have a significant impact on the RestoreX treatment plan? I assume I will just have to do it for a longer period to make up the missed time. Just wondering if its bad to start daily traction and then skip a week here and there. Perhaps when I get back I should ramp it up slowly again each time. Any thoughts?

Q2. Is there a VED in particular that everyone thinks is the best? I'm not as familiar with this but it seems like it might be a good complement to traction. How much do these typically cost?

I have been diligently using the RestoreX device since 30-Mar. I ordered some makeup pads on Amazon like those suggested by others but have not actually been using them in the clamp. For me the tape seems to work really well, though I did have to use the larger clamp setting. The preset clamp setting was just too tight, even at the first click. I have found a single makeup pad works great as a soft buffer between the penis and the device while counterbending though.

I finished the first phase (8 mins straight, 2 mins counterbend, 3x per day) and the second phase (13 mins straight, 2 mins counterbend, 3x per day) and am going to begin the third phase tonight (15 mins straight, 15 mins counterbend, 2x per day). I have not noticed any change in length or curvature as yet but its very early still. I have been happy with the stretching progress so far though. Last few days I was able to do Counterbend Position 3 (90°). Even Position 1 (30°) seemed pretty intense when I started.

The device puts a little pressure on my right testicle while under tension, which has caused some discomfort over the course of a day. I tried putting a sock between the pelvic ring and the testicle but that hasn't helped much. Even after a hot bath and in standing/sitting/lying positions the ring always seems to aim at my ball. I might use a sponge with a hole in it or something as another user mentioned.

I have also been unsure about where to best target the counterbending. I have two palpable plaque areas, one which I think is responsible for more of the curvature so I am usually aiming to have that general plaque area located at the maximum counterbend. The curvature is mostly to the left so I am doing mostly rightward bending.

I think its an excellent device, great design and engineering. And as others have mentioned, customer service is terrific. I am trying to approach this situation and these traction sessions with curiosity and hope. The body is very adaptive and I feel this treatment makes intuitive sense. So it is worth a disciplined and thorough investigation.

I don't remember when my Peyronie started. But I've been dealing with it for at least 5 years now.
I only try with cialis and acetyl l-carnitine (without improvements)
I have a curvature to the left side (of around 40º)

Hi all,
Thank you for your responses and your patience!

I hope this post might be helpful to some who are struggling. Since I received the RestoreX device I used it without fail every single day as indicated for approximately 6 months. I was in the third phase (15 mins straight, 15 mins counterbend, 2x per day) for almost that entire period ~(APR thru OCT). I never missed a session until late in September. I believe it was near the end of September or the beginning of October that I decided to go into the once per week maintenance phase. I did the treatments on two vacations and in hostels, including a week in an 18 bed dorm (I had a privacy curtain and it was actually quite easy to quietly do the required treatments there). A single session during that period was interrupted and cut short by about 5 minutes in a private airport bathroom due to loud knocking but in sum I have given this treatment a really serious and thorough try. Here are my observations about the treatment and in general:

  • My curvature has improved significantly over the period. To remind you, my treatment was comprised only of the supplements I described and the RestoreX device. In my opinion, at least some part of or all of my improvement could theoretically be attributed to the RestoreX device. It is not clear what would have happened had I done nothing. Perhaps my condition would have improved anyway - impossible to run that experiment now. I don't personally think the supplements have any effect really but they are low risk and may as well be tried.
  • It is psychologically difficult to return to this forum when the mind eases somewhat about ones condition. I intended to give updates several times and kept procrastinating. The thought of returning was somewhat fearful. I think it is very true that most people who recover or improve do not return to tell their story. So this could mean we are facing a powerful negative confirmation bias. This condition may seem alot worse here than it is in reality and over long periods of time. I think this fact is extremely important when struggling with changes in your condition. Many of us on this forum are here during periods of crisis, when we are compelled to read as much as possible and interact. So our worst moments are recorded and improvements can easily be left unsaid.
  • Do not expect linear improvement with the device. Ignore your progress or lack thereof and put it out of your mind, simply do the treatments as best you can and try not to evaluate along the way. Give yourself a set period (3 months for instance) and commit to it wholeheartedly. Not only this, do not expect to get used to the treatments for a long time. I think it took me probably an entire 2 months or more before I really felt like I had a system down and was applying the device well and feeling comfortable with it.
  • Curvature can be very complex, multidirectional and difficult to measure. I look at photos from many years ago and can't believe I was freaking out so much back then. We have to try our best to be proportional in our anxiety and have perspective. Things can change alot. Not only in our condition but in the way we feel about our condition and what it means for us. My penis in those early pictures looks great to me now and I would trade myself for it in a heartbeat. At times we will be convinced we are facing the end of the world, but we cannot know the future and so long as we are not dead we can make improvements in our lives.

To summarize, I recommend this device for those with curvature. As far as I can tell it has been safe, easy to use, and has a potentially very favourable risk to reward ratio. Starting is difficult and stressful and scary but after a couple months you just get it dialed and it becomes a part of your day. I don't want to oversell it because its impossible to run a counter experiment, but I feel confident that it is worthy of a thorough try.

When I created this thread I put down 40 degrees left curvature. This actually may have been more like 90 degrees at a certain point. I think I was 'posing' it with my hand or something and it was 40 degrees or so from base to the end, but if I stood up straight with an erection and did not touch it, from above it basically did a net 90 degree turn and pointed directly to the left. Which is absolutely crazy and goes to show how difficult it can be to measure this. Now it looks more like 25 degrees. Way straighter. However, I want to emphasize this next part: my general state of indentation or plaque has somewhat worsened and it is possible that part of the reduction in curvature could be due simply to plaque changes.

Interestingly, some areas of palpable plaque that I had before (like when I first made this thread) seem to have either softened or disappeared completely, and new ones seem to have appeared. Also of note, curvature that I had in the very beginning (like in 2015) apparently does not seem to be an issue at all anymore. This suggests to me that the condition can change quite a lot over long periods of time. Where in April I was primarily concerned with curvature, I am now alot less worried about that and general EQ is more of a worry for me. Its difficult to say if my erections are as good as they used to be or good enough for normal use and I am finding that I have quite a bit of anxiety about that question. I have gone on a couple dates with a person that I really like, so naturally this has been on my mind alot lately. I intend to re-read some posts from others on this forum that I found really helpful about intimacy and relationships.

I'm in an alright place psychologically at the moment and hope to keep moving in that direction. Whatever happens, I will continue to try my best to adapt to and improve my situation. I'm as yet undecided about pursuing other treatment options but will continue to observe. To anyone reading, please stay positive and don't give up on your future! I very much wish you success and I hope this post can help at least slightly alleviate the worry and fear that can arise when facing these issues.
