Hi 37 yr old man. non smoker, social alcohol, exercise a few times a week, try to watch for bad foods. Slightly overweight. 5'11'' 195lbs. Just learned about this disease a few months back. Went to a urologist who said I might have peyroines. Did not do an ultrasound. he told me to take vitamin e oil. Come back if it gets worse.

For my entire life I had very high libido, strong erections, straight penis. early 2022 after taking some experimental peptides experienced low libido shriveled lifeless penis. Stopped peptides after two weeks of use. After that I thought I may have permanently damaged something. I then started looking into supplements which would boost test levels. Stumbled upon pine pollen in october 2022. The day after trying this stuff woke up with powerful erection but noticed a bend in my penis like I have never experienced before. It was bending up. Stopped the pine pollen after two times in fear it could be causing peyroines. After this I developed a pain in the shaft of the penis and a bend to the left. Pain hurts the most during oral sex or handjobs. Vaginal sex the pain is not so bad. Over 2022 definitely lost 1 inch of length on penis. I can still get hard but the libido is hard to get going.

Only had one traumatic sex session where the wife sat down on the dick and a slight fracture may have come from this. Maybe this is how it started.
Don't know exactly why this happened but the bend is starting and the pain is in the shaft. I am currently trying heat therapy with a rice sock right now and manual hand traction to help get more blood flow to the penis.

meeting with another urologist soon hopefully will do an ultrasound and confirm or deny the plaque.

Any advice would be appreciated. feeling very depressed about all this considering i never had penis issues in the past.
Diagnosed after two uro visits march 2023. physical exam no ultrasound
Noticed upward bend october 22.
currently on 5mg cialis and using hot rice sock. trying to find right traction device
Pain started 12 2022.

Sounds like a pretty classic case. But for sure get a diagnosis from a QUALIFIED urologist who specializes in Peyronies disease. Also the following might help.

olowshinenine, welcome to the club no one wants to belong to! The dues are free but man, it's costly!

All kidding aside, you are not alone with your concerns. You have a lot of company. In fact, I keep hearing statistics that 15% of all men have PyD in some form. It is a somewhat hidden disease in that by its very nature, it is not something that a man discusses openly.

I'm not doctor, and I'm no guru but, I'm betting this is exactly how you got it. A personal friend of mine who I confided in about my issues told this very thing happened to him.

Anyway, there are very few urologists that fully understand Peyronie's and the various treatment options. You need to do some homework to find one that does. You did not list where you are from so, you should go to your profile and put all the pertinent information about your symptoms, your location (general) in your signature file within the profile.

I'm fortunate in that I'm about 90 minutes from a clinic in Atlanta that specializes in ED & PyD. I just started there a few weeks ago and will be going for an ultrasound in a week. I'll know more about my own situation and course of action after that, and after my blood is analyzed.

So, find the right Dr. and let us know how you are progressing. Remember; you are not alone and there is hope for recovery.

Blessings!

It is good that you are visiting another doc soon for an ultrasound because what that first doc told you ''take vitamin e oil and come back if gets worse'' is a red flag. Vitamin e does absolutely nothing for this disease doctors who tell you to take this are clueless, don't waste time with them and their BS. Also greatly pisses me off how many times I see doctors use this phrase to peyronies patients ''come back if it gets worse'' The moment someone tells me that I'm never wasting time on their dumb asses again. Gets worse!? Yeah lets wait until my dick is bent like a boomerang before doing anything...

You wil get more clarity after the ultrasound and welcome to the forum..
30 years. Sudden rightwards curve detected in June 2020
Narrowing on right side and about a 20° curve to the right.
ED + instability due to narrowing.

hey guys thanks for the replies. I met with my second uro yesterday. He confirmed after physical exam of the penis I have a nod, scaring or some other palpable fibrotic tissue in my penis. No ultrasound ordered. So he gave me cialis 5 mg. and recommended restorex. It looks like people are finding success during the acute phase with heat, traction, and supplements, anti oxidents and anti fibrotic agents. I am looking at the pmp traction device or should I get a VED? What about pentoxifylline should I try to get this from the URO?

Also reading about daflon tablets. Seems like there is a lot of possible solutions out there but no concrete evidence for any of them.

No ultrasound ordered

Hmmm...I wonder why this doc chose not to do one? Everything that I've read to this point indicates that this is a very important test.

I have an ultrasound scheduled for next Tue, 3/21. When I asked what I should expect, I got the following reply. I'm sharing it as it is good information for anyone that is going to have one.

"The penile ultrasound will tell us about your arterial and venous function in the penis.
As a reminder, be prepared for him to inject a medicine into the penis to stimulate greater blood flow. The injection is usually painless. There's more of a mental obstacle of the patient being concerned about a needle being inserted into penile tissue than actual physical pain. However, 10% of patients do experience stinging or burning from the medicine used. There is a reversal injection in case this happens.

Every 5 minutes for a 1/2 hour, Gary will scan your penis and check for the hemodynamics. He'll also do a preliminary scan to look for signs of penile plaque, and if present he'll gather the dimensions and echo measurements.

Usually, after an ultrasound whether it's the same day or on another day, there is a review of findings when I go over your lab results and the ultrasound findings with you."

My urologist who is a peyronies specialist said he does ultrasounds for 2 reasons.  #1 to see the exact location and size of plaques in anticipation of xiaflex and/or surgery or #2 (and I'm paraphrasing so I could be partially wrong) but he said to see if there are leaks or something relating to Erectile dysfunction.    Since my curve is probably 20-25 degrees and I have no ED whatsoever he didn't think it was necessary.  Just to continue taking my 2.5 mg of cialis and use the restorex and hope it stays like this...
