What a miserable disease

Hello all
I found this forum yesterday and must admit misery loves company!  I am 1.25 years into this affliction and must admit I have never been more frustrated.  After years of fantastic sex life I have been given a large buildup at the base of my shaft that makes sex too painful to attempt.  Married life is so much of a stress alone without having to delete you sex life based on pain.  My wife is entering menopause and very eager for sex.  I am struggling..

I have been using a verapamil topical and using the stretching tool without any obvious relief.  I am somewhat scared of the shots as well as surgery.  Hoping someone can give me guidance on oral or topical relief that has a history of working.

Any help appreciated as I am losing the fight.

Let's see what others have to say. I know of no topical creams that do anything. But you will find many places willing to sell them.  How long have you been using traction??

As far as injections, Xiaflex is the current drug of use. And I believe doctors like to use it while you are in the "acute phase" of peyronies. This is normally during the first 18 months while the disease is stabilizing. So your window of opportunity or effectiveness on injections may be closing.

Been using traction for 10 months now.  Started with pentoxifylline but side effects were too much to contiinue.  Seems lump has continued to pull length away and increasing painful erections.  Was hoping to stay away from shots or surgery but as this continues I am starting to doubt I can.  VERY frustrated

How many hours of traction are you doing a day? Are you incorporating a vacuum erection device? How high in vacuum pressure do you go, how often do you use it, and for how long each time?

If I'm reading your post correctly 30 degrees isn't that much and shouldnt prevent you from having sex.  I had some pain at the beginning of peyronies and low dose cialis really eliminated the pain.  You should look into a urologist prescribing that to you
