Awesome that this platform exists!

I got diagnosed with peyronies two days ago and I've been pretty distraught. I had an injury during sex two months ago and I noticed one plaque developing on the left side of my penis, confirmed by a urologist. I have a congenital curve in that direction already, my penis seems to have curved maybe a bit more that way but it's barely noticeable. I have some pain when flaccid but not always. I have no pain when erect. I have some hourglassing when semi-erect.

The urologist recommended the 12-week, 6-round verapamil injection treatment and wants me to start in two weeks. I started taking vitamin E pills twice daily as well. Does starting this injection this early in the healing process seem extreme? The doc said the efficacy is 80% but I am suspicious.

I deeply appreciate anyone who takes the time to respond. Any other thoughts on treatment worth pursuing given my symptoms and timing?

Happy healing.

Hey man. Welcome aboard.

Please check this link: https://malefertilityandpeyroniesclinic.com/peyronies/treatments/

Verapamil doesn't have a good rep and seldom you read here of people that had good improvements.
Vitamin e was an old treatment doctors used to prescribe. It has no benefit.

Chances are the pain will subside with time. What injury did you have? How was it?

basically I got jerked off too hard while I was semi-erect and noticed my penis was kinda deformed soon after. It seemed to have gotten better and I was still having sex but now it seems to be getting worse with the development of the plaque.

What treatment would you recommend? Thanks for the input; checking out the link.

Welcome to the left hook club (yours may be different!). I know, not a laughing matter.

I'm only just starting a treatment program as of a week ago (my problems started 2 years ago) and do not know yet what will be recommended for me (I have both ED & Peyronie's). I'll know a lot more once my CBC (blood panel) is reviewed and an ultrasound is done.

In your case, I don't know how that doctor can immediately go that route before performing more testing, especially an ultrasound to see the exact nature of your injury. Because of the nature of this disease, and some complexities associated with it, you have to do a lot of homework on urologists in your area that specialize or at least have a good knowledge of ED and/or Peyronies Disease.
