I'm 30 years old and 3 months into this god awful disease.  I have found the worst part of this disease is the psychological impact.  Some days are good and others I have severe depression.

This all started after somewhat rough sex with my wife.  I noticed a single nodule on the top of my shaft and after 3 months I now have 5 large plaques all approximately the same distance from the base of my penis.  My curve is upward and to the left and I have extreme pain while erect.  To top it off, my erections are not as rigid as they were before Peyronies Disease and when I get close to a full erection, I see the curvature and immediately go flaccid.  It's like I have a psychological barrier I can't overcome and as a result I can't achieve full rigidity.

I purchased a Restorex device and have been using it for several weeks now, but have not had any improvement in curvature or pain.  Though, traction may be mitigating the severity of the condition.  I am hopeful as I continue to use traction, my condition will improve.  At this point, I just need a psychological victory.

Hey Levica

Good to have you with us.

The psychological impact is by far the worst part - I too experience extreme pain on erection and all the things you stated. It's tough.

You're taking positive steps with traction - be sure to get on the supplements too, and read the survival guide. Look into VED also as a complimentary treatment alongside the traction.

Best regards

Hello levica,

You may not have Peyronie's. Nodules could just be bruising? It just sounds less like Peyronie's. It might be worth abstaining from sex and resting the little guy for a couple of weeks. To see if there is improvement.

Am just saying make sure you have Peyronie's before you start traction. As traction can exacibate other injuries.

All the best
Latest routine. Started l-lysine 3mg daily, l-proline 5mg daily. Increased vit c intake. Accompanied with almost daily vacuum therapy. Pumping to 100% Exercise caution! Made good progress. L arginine supplements and prescribed potaba are helping.

I've been battling this wretched disease for a year and a half now and I can tell you the biggest mistake I made was trying to find a solution.

When I first got this I was still getting pretty great erections and I was horny all the time but I should've stopped masturbating completely and reduced sex to no more than one time a week probably once every two weeks.

Every guy that's new to this should stop immediately. Rest is so important. We rest our other body parts when they are injured and the penis is no different.

So if you were still getting hard to the point where it hurts. I would stop and let your nighttime erections be your answer. If you blow a load twice a month for the next year  is it really that bad? You gotta look at this thing long-term.

There's so many guys on here that have made matters worse by doing too much VED or not doing traction right or applying a cream that shouldn't go there. And avoid injections at all costs - you really don't need a Doppler, you should be able to tell yourself if you blood flow is good. If it hurts when you get hard then you're good! Injections can cause more scarring.

Don't be that guy. Rest. Rest. You'll thank me later.

I don't feel resting is necessary. Resting alone is not going to make Peyronies better or worse. There are several recommended treatments for Peyronies specifically. There is no one single cure for everyone.

Traction is one of the recommended treatments and supported by several well know Peyronies doctors. You don't need to be excessive with the traction. Dr. Levine says to use a "comfortable stretch". You should take a break every hour or so in between traction sessions and let your penis get some blood flow for 10 minutes before resuming.
