How important is the counter-bending ? I do have left/up curve but I am finding it difficult to do the counter bend in the device

Very important I would think. Do it slowly. As you get more comfortable you can increase the pressure.

Curve upwards, slight dent at base on right causing slight turn to the right
lost 2 inches.
ED, yes.
Using RestoreX traction device and liking it. I have hope.

Pfract

Well... how would you go about correcting the curve without counter bending it?

jj21

@pfract - I'm not sure - that's why I asked.

I was hoping a straight stretch would still offer some benefit (I think it does with PMP etc).

So I think straight traction helps some, but the main benefit of Restorex is the counter-bending function.

It does take some time to get used to counter-bending, for me I struggled a lot and did not find it as comfortable as the straight one. It took me around 6 months to get to the last level/setting of counter-bending but I also took it very slow. Now, I actually prefer that setting compared to the straight one, I don't know why.

Not sure if you are already doing it but it certainly helps if you have something between the penis and the bottom part of the device to adjust in order to prevent the skin from getting stuck against the surface. That makes it a bit more comfortable.

My urologist has led me to believe the counter bending is the most productive proactive thing I could do. I too have had difficulties with counter bending. I have some tricks that work for me but may not be advisable for others. I find that putting a little vitamin e oil on the bottom shaft of the penis helps the skin to not catch friction on the device. I also counterbend even when uncomfortable. I have taken pain meds or shots of whiskey to help. Probably not for everyone but it helps me. Also just using the device you learn things you couldn't know without experience. For example pulling all loose skin into the correct position to begin stretches. How to gauze and wrap your penis. Good luck to ya

Thanks a lot guys. Definitely struggling with the gauze and getting a good clamp of the penis. Seems to slip out a lot.

Have you guys seen much progress? VED was working wonders for me before I injured myself

As for gauze and tape, I just wrap gauze one layer and then add tape to the top. I apply several layers of tape to the gland that is clamped down. This helps prevent slippage. I also make sure to have the gland well centered when clamping

I posted a mod about using some make up pads that can be used in the clamping mechanism of the Restorex.  You don't even need to wrap if you use them. Mikel7

JJ21 I am only 2 full weeks into the complete regimen of stretching then  counter bending, in 3 months I'll review my results,I am not even bothering to photograph or measure untill then.
Personally I'm trying to stay strong and have a positive outlook on this by not living by weekly appraisal
Thx

To follow up, I detailed my regime in this post, which includes Restorex + VED:
https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,14856.0.html

Overall I nearly halved my curvature in the first 9 months or so after which the improvements plateaued.
