I absolutely hate traction devices they are not safe for any purpose. Manual traction i found much better for Peyronies purposes.

The only manual traction I have ever known of are simple stretches of the penis out and then in the opposite direction of your curve.  Is there something more elaborate you are doing?  How often and how long?
52 years old
Diagnosed 5 years ago with an upward curve of 60-65 degrees.
Completed one full round of treatments with Xiaflex (8 injections)  Measured curve 40-45 degrees after that
Using Restorex and took oral medications as well (Pentox Cials)

I share the same opinion. Traction devices made my Peyronie worse.
Manual traction, on the other hand, is improving my condition and making me hopeful.
1993 born. Brazil.
Peyronies since Sep 2019.
Penis developed curvature, lots of plaque, loss of size and axial rigidity. Severe peyronie.
Mar/21 TEP + Titan Touch 20 cm + 1.5 RTE.

Surgery done by Dr. Marco Tulio Cavalcanti, in São Paulo.

I improved one area and injured another with manual traction, you have to be careful.
How nice it would be for us if someone investigates a treatment once and for all
32 years,injured at 25.
Slight curve, narrowing and retraction in flaccid and semi-erect.
Loss of sensitivity due to peyronie and circumcision  moderate erectile dysfunction, pain.
I improved the pelvic floor with kinesiology.
Frequent urination.

Asphyxia

Age:23. Onset of symptoms: september 2020.
Curve mostly semi erect about 60 degrees, slight pain
Tried short & prolonged fasts, keto, carnivore, traction and most of the supplements.
Severe digestive issues, probably an autoimmune disorder

Hate to sound stupid, but how exactly do you do manual traction?   Is there a system/method?
62; probably 12 months in, but formally diagnosed Jan 2021; hourglass, some ED; not too much curvature; 5 mg Cialis so far; committed partner

What can I say? I completely agree  8)

I've talked to a lot of men who have bought all the main devices and still prefer hand traction.

Hand traction also has the benefit of letting you be able to protect your inguinal area (something I kind of need).

RichardRider01

What exactly is the inguinal area? I have heard of inguinal hernias can cause pelvic floor problems and penile pains and wonder if I have a inguinal hernia.

No one will ever convince me manual traction is more effective or safer.  Every medical form of tissue expansion and every successful cultural form of tissue expansion and remolding involves low to moderate stretching over very long sustained periods of time.  There are no examples to the contrary.
See:

I used mechanical traction and manual traction over many years.  I have also taken breaks from traction for months.
No one can maintain a consistent traction tension when manually stretching the penis.  I have tested my estimate of how much tension I am exerting with a hanging scale.  Without looking at the dial, tension gets very inconsistent and eratic.  It ranges from too intense to very low tension.

To look at any examples of successful tissue expansion or remolding and think that could be accomplished manually daily tension is silly.  That would defy everything we know about tissue remolding or stretching of scar tissue.

As far as I am concerned, the only value of manual traction is to use it occasionally during the 1-hour breaks in wearing manual traction so that the tissue does not really get a full 1-hour break in traction.  That helps you extend mechanical traction while still giving the penis a break in being cinched in the device.

manual traction with wrist as fulcrum helps counter bending more effective. However, i agree with Hawk, using traction device  (slow traction for longer hours) is necessary for tissue remodeling and healing.

Mr man

Manual or mechanical traction? Both were useless to me. Untill I started taking Pentox. Now both are useful.

While at work I can wear a manual traction device comfortably for my 5 hours. (5 hours is currently the time my penis is responding well too). I can go a lot longer.

Manual is helpful when stretching in different directions. It feels like the the scar tissue is getting stretched where devices can't reach.

Both useful tools from the box
Latest routine. Started l-lysine 3mg daily, l-proline 5mg daily. Increased vit c intake. Accompanied with almost daily vacuum therapy. Pumping to 100% Exercise caution! Made good progress. L arginine supplements and prescribed potaba are helping.

I have a noticeable vein on the middle of my penis
After starting manual traction for while I I noticed that
The base of the in is bursting and become more prominent
Is this normal
And for how long should I practise stretching ?

I just want to add that I was thinking it was improving. Actually, what happened was the left side started to develop plaques, so my penis became more straight for this reason (but thinner).

Traction is dangerous IMO, but you do what you want. IMO, VED is a much safer approach.

I'm starting to believe that doing anything to the penis while it's inflamed will only make things worse.
MIA - nothing works after 5 months
supplements and pharmaceuticals I've tried:
cialis, pentox, magnesium chloride, dim, turmeric, hyaluronic acid, vitamin k2, paba, l-arginine, l-citrulline. either get surgery (and possible ed), get implant, or pray

I did manual traction (a few days) on my foreskin to restore circumcision, my orgasms and erections improved remarkably. now I feel a slight burning, I think my scar has softened, and is going to harden again, this has already happened to me.
I feel half way, I can fix my problem but only temporarily, I can't stop it from hardening, this is what medicine has to research

Tobyg: other than placebo effect, there is nothing out there in the medical literature saying that stretching your penis by hand will improve your condition. I don't mean to be offensive, but i simply don't think it is reasonable for you to make such bold claims just from a few days of hand stretching.

Tobyg

is that this happened to me several times already, no 1 ... it is like I "break" the fibrosis (as perhaps a shock wave does), my penis improves for a few days, and then it hardens again.
I'm just saying that it doesn't work, it has to be combined with some treatment that prevents scarring again.
all treatments are honestly waste of time.
