I'd like to a doppler test to determine the exact cause of my curvature.

3 questions:

a) What exactly is the doppler test, how long does it take and does the patient have to do?

b) Does it require injections to the penis?

c) What other tests should I do, as well?

Thanks in advance!

A Doppler test is an ultrasound procedure of the penis . It gives information on blood flow and plaques and calcification's. You will receive an injection of a trimix derivative in your penis to achieve an erection. It doesn't hurt. I've had it done as a lot of members also. When your erect the Dr uses an ultrasound scan to look inside of your penis. Then afterwards you receive another injection to deflate your penis somewhat. Some Dr's are also recommending a sensitive test of the penis - I didn't have it done  $$.
Lump 4/2020, age 63 , Dr Levine 6-26-20, Dors Curve 11/2020, Peyronies
Vit E400mg, COQ10, Heat Therapy, Penimaster, Pentox, Cialis, Restorex
SNHL 7/2020 - Stopped all Meds because ototoxicity  Heat/traction/VED are working. CPPS Diagnosis - Stable :)

Thank you very much for your reply, it is so helpful.

The problem to me is the injections. This may sound silly to most of you but I am terrified of needles and penile injections may do more harm than good. It is uncontroversial that trimix injections may cause curvature, so it's too much of a risk.

Unless you know of some alternative, there is no way I'm getting a Doppler test done.

Hi! What's a sensitive test of the penis?

If you're having the ultrasound Doppler test to diagnose Peyronies Disease, it can be done flaccid.  If it's to diagnose Erectile Dysfunction, you will need to be erect.  The needle isn't so bad and one injection is very unlikely to cause Peyronies Disease, just be sure to compress the injection site for at least 5 minutes after injected to stop any internal bleeding and possible trauma.
