Hi everyone. It's great to see there is a community here who can help and share info and experiences. It means a lot to new members who are a bit freaked out. My appointment with the urologist was quite brief, his answers were based a lot on uncertainty.

Before I found this forum I spent heaps of time online looking for information but was unable to find cases similar to mine. My story began about 7 weeks ago when I started to get some discomfort/pain during erections... later on - ultra sound detected a 5mm calcification. I saw a urologist who felt around and said he can feel a lump (I cannot feel it myself) and confirmed Peyronie's disease.

My case is that I have no curvature at all - just pain... so I'm curious to know if this disease acts in stages and that a curve will be inevitable for me? Or do some men just have pain and no curve?
Would be great to hear some experiences as I can't find anything online.

I have been on anti inflammatory gout medication for 2 weeks now, and the pain has decreased, however it still persists. Just wondering how long it takes for the pain to go??

Thanks for taking the time to look at my question

Length of pain can be variable.  Anti inflammatory meds often help also try generic voltaren gel applied to the penis.  Check out the survival guide to get started.  https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.msg44057.html#msg44057

Mine started off with all pain, as well.  Curvature started to present in mid month 2 and was a 10-20 degree bend.  It was replaced with a 90 degree up bend at month 5 and has been that way ever since.  Majority of the pain subsided in months 5-7.
45 Yrs old, Peyronies Disease Onset 11/2019, Stabilized 6/2020.

Dent/Hourglassing distal and dorsal side, lost length and girth.

Underwent Plication with Dr. Brian Christine in Birmingham, AL on 6/17/2021. Fully recovered with no complications.

Thank you so much for replying bustedchubb. This is really devastating news to hear. I feel absolutely gutted and depressed.  I couldn't find anything online about my specific symptoms and was hopeful it wouldn't change.   During the early stages , did you do any treatment to try and mitigate the problem?? I would really like to hear what you tried or didn't do from the initial onset.

I have held off from seeing another specialist for a second opinion , but I think I will try and see another one.

Thank you so much for sharing ur story with me

Definitely not every story goes like mine does.  A)  I have awful luck, and typically if it can happen to me it will,  and B) I made some mistakes that could have worsened my situation, mainly being using RestoreX too early with possibly too much tension.  I didn't go more than what was instucted, but with this disease, you got to take things VERY easy and slowly to prevent / limit such things from happening.  For instance, I have been using a Soma-VED device since June without any issues just by taking it very slow and methodical increases.

Pain usually precedes the curvature and indentations. You may also be experiencing hard flaccid symptoms. What you want to do is get in traction therapy right away. Start with penimaster pro at low tension for 6+hrs per day. The idea is to heal in an elongated state. Also add light VED every day, again to expand the tissue to avoid contraction.

Keep taking records of your penis including pictures, length, and girth measurements. If things start getting worse increase the amount of tension and/or add RestoreX traction device.

For gout medication i assume you mean Potaba. That might be ok but what you really need to be on is Cialis. This keeps your penis full of blood. Also add 3kmg daily l-citruline. You need to keep constant blood flow and keep the penis expanded as much as possible.

For supplements also add vitamin-e and coq10. You should also ask your doctor to prescribe Pentoxifylline 3x a day.

Good luck.
