Restoring lost length due to androgen deprivation therapy

Hello buddies! I am a 29-year-old man. I recently made my post in the introduction section. I am not a prostate cancer survivor, but my condition resembles to those brave men who survived prostate cancer. About 1.5-2 years back, I went into benzo-withdrawal. For some unknown reason, my pituitary gland malfunctioned during the withdrawal period. My testosterone level was extremely low and my testicles along with my penis shrunk. I was in withdrawal and away from my family, so I didn't pay that much attention to my sexual health. Now my benzo withdrawal is over, and my testosterone level has returned. But I see my penis has shrunk significantly and my condition worsening by the time. I think my penis is shrinking progressively, which is very strange. My urologist does not believe me and has prescribed 5mg / day Cialis. I was wondering if anyone on this forum recovered his lost penis size due to androgen deprivation therapy? Please help me out.

You'll want to take objective measurements so you can monitor any changes.  If there is some plaque causing this, nightly low dose cialis may help.  Check out the survival guide.  https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.msg44057.html#msg44057

Hey shrunken.... I'd second Tony on this and also that yes. There are some medical papers on men using VED to regain the size they originally had before they shrunk. But there is a regimen you have  to follow.

shrunken_dick

Thanks for the reply! What regimen would you suggest?

There is more research supporting traction than VED.  The traction, I'd go w restorex as it only takes 60-90 min/day rather than 6+ hours for other devices.

what work?? thats the thing. none of these things can actually be worked on. I gained bad weight due to depression and I actually got myself up and lost 44 pounds in a year. thats workable you can work on this and see progress. peyronies cannot really be worked on if you're a non responder to drugs, ED cannot be worked on, neither can being short or going bald or being ugly. the more effort you put in and get no results the more depressing it is

I took Pentox for 1-2 years and it did nothing. I told my Hausarzt (GP i guess)  I took it just because they prescribe it to all Peyroines patients and he said ,,I have to idea why anyone would prescribe that to a patient with IPP. It's just a blood thinner for pain caused by peripheral artery disease in the legs. It make no sense in IPP patients.". That's my experience. It doesn't do anything. I have a full bottle of it back home dated 2017 I haven't touched. I should just toss it in the garbage where it belongs when I get back.

I don't think this is a size problem but rather a circulation problem, that is the penis can't to it's max size because you have poor blood circulation.

Did you have a hard flaccid during your withdrawal? Do you have a tight pelvic floor? Other blood circulation issues?

@peroniessurprise ; no, I didn't have hard flaccid during benzo withdrawal. How to know tight pelvic floor? Shall I try trimix injection?

I am personally against injections and meds. Tight pelvic floor is something that manifests itself differently depending on person. Usually it's a feeling of a knot down there and pelvic misalignment (anterior or posterior pelvic tilt). Constipation might be frequent and some pain when passing stool. Pain during erection and/or on ejaculation.

I am not entirely sure, it might be something you need to take on with a physiotherapist. Tight pelvic floor from my understanding is frequently misdiagnosed as prostate hyperplasia or other prostate issues.

Some uriologists may be up to date with pelvic floor issues but i would expect most aren't.

I'd start looking online for symptoms first.

Shrunken-dick,

Do you have Peyroines, I.e, fibrosis? That's the only thing I can think of that will shrink your penis. It's the plaque , which is just scar tissue. Scar tissue does not have the elasticity and causes contraction in Peyroines.

The doctor can usually feel the plaque, even if you don't.  But a simple ultrasound flaccid and erect would be the test they use (to induce an erection they just inject a medication).

@Tony ; No, I didn't take any testosterone blocker, but I would say what I went through was equivalent to going on a testosterone blocker.  Basically, my pituitary gland failed because of mental trauma, and my LH, FSH went down dramatically, which signaled my testicle to stop testosterone production.

Ok reading though your post, I don't think you have Peyronies or scar tissue problems with your penis.
The loss of size is due to the lack of erections or full erections due to your low testosterone from your meds.

Heathy erections are needed to keep your penis length, lots of men lose penis size due to their lack of erections.

You may be able to regain length with traction or VED, but nothing guaranteed on the outcome.

Is the Cialis giving you good erections?
If your still not getting regular erections, you may loss more size.
I would stretch your penis by hand several times a day to keep it's elasticity if that's the case.

If the Cialis is working be carful with Traction or VED as you don't want to cause more damage.
But without stretching your penis, you wont regain any loss size.

Even with it, you need to put in lots of hours and maybe up to a year to see good results.
There's no quick fix for this, you just have to treat it like a daily routine.

But I add again, you could if you over treat your penis end up with worse Erectile Dysfunction and end up needing an implant

shrunken_dick

@redbul ; thanks for replying! Yes Cialis is working for me. I would try traction device and VED.

I have researched it a lot on prostate cancer and transgender forum that low testosterone and not having erection for a long time can shrink your penis. I am doomed now. Sex is over for me. Feeling very depressed.

Don't feel hopeless. There are surgeries that can restore length and girth.
I'd recommend you to do VED and traction exercises beforehand.

Search for Egydio Technique 2.0, MOST and MUST technique... they are delicate surgeries, so if you're willing to do that, you need a high volume surgeon. Here in Brazil I know 2 of them that do these restorative surgeries.

Don't listen to people on those forums you mentioned. Lowered testosterone does NOT shorten your penis after you've reached adulthood and reached what is your genetically normal size. Peyroines does, but not low testosterone.  I checked this with a REAL doctor, not asked a group of non-doctors who don't know anything.

Lack of oxygenation in the penis favors fibrosis. Dr. Paulo Egydio, one of the best Peyronie's surgeons, claimed this in his last YouTube video

Low testosterone levels -> less erections -> less oxygenation -> more chances of fibrosis appearing -> shortened penis. This is the math.

In the video, he also talks about diabetes leading to the same problem. Hum, diet.  ::)

I don't have diabetes, nor has anyone mentioned it and, as to your YouTube link,  I don't speak Portuguese. Even if what so said were true, lack of oxygenation ,,favors" fibrosis, that just means it correlates with it but doesn't necessarily CAUSE it. A huge difference. Again, why do you keep harping on about diabetes?  Who's asking about that? Who cares?

You keep trying to draw generalizations and make a diagnosis and you're not qualified to do that. Go back and talk to godisreal. He's God after all. What a joke.

And diet means nothing in a  22 year old. Are you serious?

Low testosterone favors fibrosis and this can shorten the penis. So low T can, indirectly, shorten the penis. I'm just correcting your wrong statement.

My dick has changed it's anatomy . There was bottleneck at the base of my penis and 40 degree left hand side curve.  Glans not filling up. I can fill up my glans manually but not with injections. My corpus spongisum is also not filling in with blood. I never thought that not getting an erection for one year can do this to my penis.
