Hi.

After just discovering another sore patch/possible new scar/plaque on the opposite side and now at the base... I gotta say, this disease is really beating the brakes off me. I'm going to open up a bit here, as I am struggling. I have only 2 people that aren't a urologist to talk to about this, and I feel like niether of them want me to bring it up...so the pressure mounts. Hope you don't mind me releasing a bit of that pressure in here?

Firstly, I'd just like to mention how grateful I am that I even have the opportunity of speaking about this troubling issue and that someone might even read this and give a crap enough to respond. Not only that, but that I have been connected to other sufferers, who understand the plight. Albeit, we all come from different stages of life, with different experiences and viewpoints etc... but hopefuilly that will be a positive thing.

Well, I may as well be as honest as I can, even though it makes me want to die from embarassment. I've struggled with severe joint and back issues for most of my adult life. I have been completely wiped out and housebound for long periods of time. I have missed out on a lot of stuff other people my age have long enjoyed and now have families and established careers. I have not. My employment history has been sporadic, my social life and romantic life has been totally online or non-existent for so long. It's a joke really.

So as I start to stabilise and begin mending my physical body and start rehabilitating for the umpteeth time, I wake up with Peyronie's.

As my disease has progressed I have got an increasingly severe lopsided hour glasss and leftward head angle, and I have no idea how this new dent/scar/plaque will affect things, it's already leaning so I guess stability for intercourse might be out the window? No idea. No-one to practice on - any volunteers? Kidding.

Even though I'm in my 30s I've had very little sex for a number of reasons. I always thought once I am stable and physically rehabilitated from chronic injuries I would be able to pursue a full romantic relationship again. But now this Peyronie's really has destroyed that goal of mine.

I can't see what woman would want my Peyronie's penis. I am gratefule for what I have now, but I have no idea how long that will even last - now that I discovered a new scar/lump on the opposite side and end.

It just feels like with all my other challenges and struggles, to be dealt this one on top... kind of like a bridge too far, you know? It's like "Well done for trying to get back on your feet after those string of injuries to your limbs/back etc..... but is there any point of even continuing to fight if you can't even live a full life.... and will end up as nothing but a glorified "Ken Doll"

I'm just so gutted by this. I'm struggling to maintain a positive attitude. My living situation is really tough too and this Peyronie's has just pushed me over the edge.

Although I don't do recreational drugs, the thought has crossed my mind to use them as a coping mechanism... or antipderessants maybe?

I am in therapy, but the therapist is quite an attractive woman, and I feel like I will gross her out if I talk about this, or like she's disgusted or something. Even though she say it's ok and it is no problem for her. I feel like it is, just from body language etc... I will mention this to her in the next session and ask if she thinks I should change to someone who is trained in or undertands Peyronie's. But that would be a shame, because she really helped me through an awful time this year. She supported me, and gave me hope with that, and I feel a lot b etter about that speciofic issue.

I dunno man.... on top of everything else I've been tackling, this damn Peyronie's has just wiped the rug out from under me.

Brother, regardless of what your dick looks like women will still be after you. For two reasons;
Money and power. The reason I'm so gutted about this is NOT because I'm afraid that women will laugh at me or deny me because of my crippled dick. It's because I was born with my dick, I refuse to believe i was born to develop Peyronie's. But to be concerned about women is completely wrong, man. You have to trust me that women do not care. But they do care about high confidence and good economy alongside a relentless & alpha attitude. This is FACTS. If the blind people here don't wanna admit it, fine. But it's the truth. Bill Clinton had Peyronie's, it's very unclear when this struck him since he tried to keep it a secret, but his lovers told people that his dick was crippled. So what? He still smashed, eh? Guy was one of the most successful people on the planet. Girls still sucked his d*ck even even tho he had a disgusting disease like Peyronie's.
Because it is disgusting. It's a joke. If I didn't have this disease I would probably laugh at everybody who had it, because it's absolutely ridiculous.
Worry about these things instead: stay as healthy as possible, stay on supplements and drugs, chase your goals and have faith that you will get out of this tunnel - both psychically and psychologically. Because lemme tell you that if you do, you will be unstoppable and nothing can ever stop you.

Thank you, Godisreal, I appreciate your message. Thing is, I just can't see me going through the dating process, landing a gal I'm really into, then revealing what I'm working with, and her not having a problem with it ultimately. Maybe she'll stick around for a few months, but I feel like they will ultimately bail on me. I just can't see anyone sticking with it. Something I have to work on perhaps. Can you even really blame them if they do bail on you? It's not asking too much to just have a healthy sex life, is it?

I dunno man. I'm in the early stages of dealing with this, so forgive my sentiments if you all feel I'm way off base here.

I know what you're saying, I believe there are decent women out there who would want to stick with me for what we have established other than just sex, but I feel like finding that is like a one in a million chance or something.

Yes I hear you on the money and power. That will definitely attract a certain type of personality, fortunately not the type that I'm looking for.

Bill Clinton had Peyronies Disease?! NMo way. I'll have to look up on that. A celebrities with Peyronies Disease feature would be quite interesting I think for the Forum as it decreases the feeling of isolation that comes with this disease.

Anyway, I appreicate what you're trying to say and thanks for the encouragement.

There are different kinds of women, Tony. And even tho there are different kinds, the majority of women AUTOMATICALLY gets attracted to a man that: take care of himself, has a good economy, doesn't let anyone sh*t on him, keeps his head up in tough times and has a good look at life. All people have different opinions on what "good look at life" means  but when you find your soulmate, she will have similar opinions as you. There are women that care less about money and there are women that care more about money (not gold-diggers).
These are facts, and ofc a lot of things along the way play a part as well but you would have to be a fool to deny the facts I just threw upon you.
And Eric, I understand that you don't want a women that cares too much about your economic situation and so on. Ofc, who would want a soulmate that doesn't love you for you? Right?
But I know you will find the woman that will carry your children with pride lol
For now - put all the superficial things aside along with your worries and keep fighting, man.
I will get through this joke of a disease, and so will you.

GIR - Sorry for the late reply, bro. Really, really, busy here. I think that is possibly something I do deliberately though, right? Keeping yourself busy is actually a good way to cope.

I appreciate your optimistic message there. I have heard similar from another person I confided in. She thinks that there will be optioons in the future, and is trying to steer me away from hurting about this too badly.

To be honest, I'm grateful for what little function I have, and I think the one thing with this disease is that you never know how long you will even have that function for.

Deformity could worsen at any point, as it is for me at the minute. New sore area, rightward lean, lessened sensitivity or sensation. Frequent soft glans when laying, excess foreskin when erect due to shorter overall length. I read this thing about "Axial stability" -  that was like a shogun shot to the gut... it's a medical article about the problem with peyronie's and intercourse due to a lack of integral stability. Wish I never read that crap, as that fuels my worry. Due to chronic leg injuries I won't be with any women for quite some time so I feel like my window of opportunity is closing, and I'm unable to test my unit to see if intercourse is even possible. If I was to try right now, I would worry that it could casue further injury due to the movements and forces involved.

Sorry to be a downer, but I'm really just voicing my concerns here.

Any thoughts on what I've just said, as always, gratefully appreciated.

Cheers.

Always remember that an implant is an option that will make it all a bad memory so you have that ace in the hole so to speak.

If your therapist is good I would keep her.  For every good therapist, there are a dozen not worth the time or money.

Don't wait until your problems are solved to be happy.  Choose happiness now, where you are.  If you don't understand that statement then learn about the power of attitude.  Learn about Cognitive Behavioural therapy.  Find meaning in the vast options within your grasp.

Hi Hawk,

I have read 3 or 4 positive testimonials now from people who have penile implants. One or two of which were on an implant seller's website. I found it quite encouraging. Until I read our beloved NHS's take on it. My dream then shattered, and an implant has no longer served as a "get out of jail free card", if you will. I'll try and find the NHS material I read that destroyed my hopes. Perhaps as an implantee (?), you might be able to offer an informed impression on their info.

OK, I can't seem to find the exact article. But it essentially said how feeling can go from your glans, and you might never recover it. The erectile mechanism can break, and in those circumstances it may "fire at will", so potentially leave you with a full erection at an inconvenient moment. I can't remember the other stuff, but that is what sticks out. All in all, it felt like they were trying to either dissuade people from getting one, or, to lower our expectations. Either way... it sure sucked to read that. It made it seem like a very problematic and risky procedure. I know some people are really happy with theirs. Maybe I should read some more accounts about people with implants experiences.

I hear you on the happiness now. I hope to aspire to such an enlightened perspective. At the moment thopugh, I still feel like I just got my bell rung pretty good. So am still reeling from the reverberations.

Sheesh, if Peyronie's was my only issue I might have a decent chance at getting through this. But added to my other issues, it seems pretty insurmountable.

Cheers for the advice on the therapist.

Well, you would think that. But under the NHS charter, I think anyone who all treatments for ED have failed have a right to be considered for this.

How do you find yours Tony?

Any malfunctions? Any pain? Do you still have the same sensation/feeling?

Thanks. I think it would reduce my misery a little if I know an implant might actually give me some options further on down the line,

I saw some guy who was 23 or so talk about having an implant and being completely happy. But this was on a seller's websiute, so I'm understandably weary.

I've had great success with mine (see my diary) however recently the pump has been leaking (backflow), it's still useable but an inconvenience so I'm having it replaced.  The implants do have a lifetime warranty.

If you wanna go for an implant, consider the MOST technique by dr.Kuehhas and dr.Egydio as well. It seems that they can not only give you a prothesis, but maximize your size as well. I don't know about you, but that seems like a very good option for those that are dissatisfied with the volume they lost because of peyronies.

I'd recommend extreme caution w any surgeon who indicates they can lengthen or widen your penis beyond its original size (pre peyronies).  I believe you'll find horror stories of bad outcomes with all such techniques.

I know, but I'm putting it out there because it seems like a very good option. Unfortunately none of our member have had this procedure done yet, so I wouldn't know if the results are as good as they claim it to be. But if you're going for an implant you might as well try this procedure as well.

Apologies for hijacking the topic a little but I'm trying to get a solid answer on the following;
- Is VED safe in acute phase? I feel like I'm getting different opinions from left and right all the time... some people say "you're stupid if you believe VED would benefit you with active inflammation", while some say "do it now, before it's too late!". F*ck, I don't wanna make it worse obviously, does anyone here have any suggestions? I feel like VED would benefit me a lot, but not sure if now is the time.

Dude, that was a bit of a brutal thread creep. But I can totally understand your anxiety. If you have persistent inflammation and inelastic/hard flaccid type symptoms/turtling, extreme flaccid shortening etc.... I probably would hold out for a bit. I too got coaxed into to it by members who were insisting I must start asap. Listen to your body carefully. Mine said no, but I did it anyway, and I now have a new scar/plaque in my right CC chamber. So my cock pulls to the right and is kind of unstable. Gutting really. From all I read on here I thought VED was the friggin Holy Graille of Peyronie's... Not for me. Buit if I ever stabilise, I might try again. But in order for me to try again. I would have to have ZERO signs of inflammation, an elastic, soft, supple, floppy feeling flaccid....

Please keep the VED talk to your threads GIR. This is like my only outlet to voice my concerns. Cheers.

Sorry VED didn't work for you Eric. But you're not the only one who didn't have succes with it. I also never had any succes with it and only seemed to speed up the progression of the disease. Right now I do nothing, except for taking pentox, but for some weird reason I'm still not out of active phase and it's been this way for years now. The progression is slow, but steadily gets worse over time. I doubt if I'll have much of a penis left when I'm in my 50's. By that time it probably turned into nothing but skin. I just hope then we'll finally have more treatment options. Anyway, for now I'd think the implant really is the only option if you want to fix it right now and other treatments aren't working. I hope more members will also try the MOST technique, but at the same time I understand that people won't likely try it, because they don't wanna be the first to try it. Neither would I to be honest..

Popopo, GIR,

Sorry for my late response. It's been a busy holiday season for me. No rest, lots of appointments etc

Popopo: Sorry to hear about your experience with VED. So much is said positive about it online, that to get ill effects from it is a real blow to one's confidence. I really feel like my condition is much worse sincve doing this. After ejaculation my penis stays at abgout 70-80% erect for a long time now, which is pretty awkward if you havbe to go anywhere to have such a huge bulge. That may seem funny, but I'm sure there's a reason the bloods not draining expediently - and I doubt the reason is a good one.

I also feel like I'm getting large dents now too which I didnt have before, also a sore point at the base. I also feel like my penis is like welded to the top of my scrotum, no idea how else to explain that. It's l;ike my balls don't hand so low anymore, they seem retracted quite a bit. This condition is awful.

But yes... I think it's time for me to start thinking about the "ace in the hole". The implant. I know they aren't perfect. But at least it's a possible second chance at a sex life, and by God, I will take that over not having one.

So I'm now going to try to start moderating my worry and concern and negativity and start telling myself even if it all goes to sh*t, I still have an out.

GIR - That sounds like a good way to start. I think Old Man, the board's VED Guru started that way with great success. I would recommend considering a massage and relaxation routine in order to keep any hard flaccid symptoms well away from you. I intend to get back on the Hard Flaccid recovery route this year, as I believe I still suffer from it intermitently.

If you feel like nothing else is working, then the implant really seems to be the only thing you can do. I also wanna let you know that there is a relatively new procedure right now that can be combined with an implant and leave you with more girth and lenght if size loss is an issue for you. It's called the modified sliding technique (MOST for short) and is done by dr.Egydio and dr.Kuehhas, but there are a lot more doctors now that do the procedure. Whatever you decide to do, I hope you'll find a good doctor that can give you the best result possible.

Be very careful of the MOST or any penile lengthening surgeries as they can result in necrosis and loss of the penis.  They are just not ready for risking it!

Hmm stem cells is highly fascinating, isn't it? I saw the attached thread here on the forum regarding exactly that. Is the procedure a surgery? Or is it only talks about a syringe? Like with Verapamil-injections? If anyone here knows, please share your knowledge.
And TonySa, is stem cells considered "penile lengthening" surgery?
I read on a study that the lab-grown cells adapt to the tunica and therefore creates a "new" tissue that works exactly like the original healthy tissue. Is that correct? Seems very promising to me.

As far as I know there were no cases of "penis loss" after MOST/MUST. There were a few cases of "partial glans necrosis", but all of theme were because of implant infection. And I've read all of the current studies regarding lengthening techniques written by many autors. If you have a study where was described an example of such a devastating case, please let us know (link on the sourŅe would be appreciated).
