I am totally freaked out by what I perceive as the chaotic nature of this. Cancer seems to progress along predictable lines. Other diseases doctors, etc. seem to know what it will do most of the time.

Correct me if I am wrong here. It seems to me that Incould wake up and it is suddenly 3 inches shorter than the day before. It could be curved 90 degrees when an hour ago it was 30.

I was told it stabilizes after 18 months. Is this true or just more BS? Should I expect that my penis lives in a world with no rules?

It's very rarely as extreme as that.  Start by reading the survival guide and bring your questions here.  You're in the right place!  Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forums

Thanks. Not really what I am asking though. What I want to know, since I have read that active and chronic phase can cycle through your whole life is that is there any predictability to this?

I have read you can go through active phase, do treatment, see improvement and then it can go active again at any time.

Is this true?

That could happen, but unusual.  Most always active phase over between 6-12 months.

Been close to a year since I was treated with Xiaflex. Haven't had an attack since then. Same length and same girth as before the active phase
5 Rounds of Xiaflex. Good results.
