Cycling pain

No treat this  Halloween  with pain at both ends. Got up this morning at six took two Tylenol three waited half an hour got in the bathtub waitied15 minutes. Then pumped up 26 pumps set the timer for 15 minutes and sat there and endured 15 minutes of excruciating pain. Then the fun part started tried to deflate had a hard time finding the button had to squeeze like hell got it down two thirds of the way. Now I've got pain at the tips and the crus and in the scrotum. Is this what I have to look forward to if so for how long?

Oh my gosh, you are bringing back memories.  I apologize but I admit to a stressed laugh.  Honestly, that is why I mentioned every day is not necessarily better than the day before but every two or three days will be.  If I am keeping up, this is your first pump to anything resembling full inflation.  If so you just pumped up further and held for longer so you progressed by a huge factor.  You are still in week one (day 5).  Keep in mind that some guys don't even inflate for weeks so you are ahead of the game and are reducing the odds that you will not lose size and maybe gain a little.  You will likely notice a measurable decrease both in scrotum pain and in inflation pain in the penis by Friday, possibly even sooner.  Of course, by then you will inflate a little longer.  That is why I opted in the first 2 weeks for inflating once a day for a longer period.  The scrotum is affected by the inflation/deflation cycle.  Length of the inflation period does not factor in for the scrotum.  If my penis could endure 30 minutes inflated and save my scrotum another pumping session that day then my scrotum thanked it.  My other soaking sessions that day were just for swelling and healing.

The other thing is that you should not hesitate to take one of your strong pain pills 20 minutes before you put your fingers on the pump.  If pumping hurts, and it surely does at this point, then pump twice and take a break.  since your soaks should be for 40 minutes you can pump up over a period of 15 minutes if you prefer.  I listened to my favorite music playlists and would try to stay inflated through just one more song and hope that it was not one of my 9 or 10-minute uncut versions like "I would do anything for love".

Trust me, when you start having sex, these memories will fade fast, at least until you read someone elses account

 Thanks Hawk. Up until this morning I thought this was gonna be a walk in the park well this was a reality check there's potholes and bumps in this gravel road under construction for the next few miles. The swelling is gone down a lot snakebites disappeared. This first mile stone did bring me to a new place though. One where I now know that the Dr. I chose was the right one .  There was definitely nothing floppy about what I had in my hend this morning. I can't wait to try out.

Yeah I sure believed that his was going easy. The moral of the story is don't ever be diverted from the truth by what you'd like to believe.So my question now is.  At day 5 were you spending a good part of the day in bed and how long did that last. After this morning's exercise I had breakfast I couldn't sit down the rear tips got fully seated as did the top ones.
Your closing in on three months now are you still cycling or just using it regularly. I'm looking forward to the day I can say to my wife. " the doctor told me to pump it up twice a day for 30 minuets and not to waste a perfectly good election how about some help honey"

As I recall I was probably in bed popping strong narcotic pain pills at 5 days.  I road to Sams club and shopped on day 3 after removing my catheter but that was a mistake.  

I remember posting in my Journal that I was comfortable laying flat or walking.  I could not sit without hating it.  Since you are laying in bed anyway, read my journal.  It will probably boost your spirits since I was worse off  

Dr. Eid does not encourage cycling after intercourse starts.  Many men cycle 2 times a day for a year.  I have chosen to cycle one time a day for an hour or so.  I figured one time is less wear and tear on the implant than 2 times (that is arguable since it is seldom the pump that fails).  I will cycle until I can be sure I go a month with no slight gain in girth or length.  I sometimes cycle when I first wake up while still in bed.  I check the forum. Walk downstairs naked and get a bite to eat, let the dog out.  Shave, and spend the last portion in the shower.  As you start getting some discomfort (which takes over an hour now at rock hard maximum pump) the showers kill that minor discomfort  I have a handheld showerhead I spray hot water on my perineum area and it instantly kills any discomfort.  After being pumped for a few minutes I can always force an extra partial pump or two.  Sometimes after several more minutes, I can force a few more.

Just had a phone call with a soon to be new patient of Dr. Eid I had the opportunity to do something like you did for me. I suggested he send you a pm and also to warren as the both of you were very helpful in easing my apprehension. That's what this brotherhood is all about just regular guys trying to help out others. I've read your  Journal as well as several others we are all trying to find a way to get to the point we were at before this ED thing took hold of our lives and got into our heads. The fellow I spoke with had had proton therapy a while back. That was the thing I thought strongly about doing due to the bs advertising that all the treatments claim. I'm happy I had the surgery to remove the cancer and there was a piece of flesh to examine and determine what the status of the cancer was it gave me pease of mind . He went down hill after the treatment and it ultimately did other damage to his urethra. Years later he asked me why did I make the decision to go with an implant so soon after the prostatectomy. I did because I knew if I waited all I would do was frustratie myself and then wonder why I didn't do it sooner. Life is to short to put off doing the things you like and love I knew it was not going to be the same as before but I know now that I can deal with what ever little changes I'll have in how this implant compares to before. One thing I can be sure of is it will not require a needle.vacuum cylinder pill or ring to hold things together.i

Floppynomore, it will get better. One day you will go through your routine and suddenly ask yourself, "When did the pain stop"? It all sneaks up on you, then life is fabulous! Try moving your pump around in different places when your sack gets sore till it gets used to being clenched like being caught in a zipper. If things get too sore, take off a day and give it a rest. No harm in that either.  Cheers man and keep doing well.

Thanks for the words of encouragment. As the days go on the price we pay in terms of pain is a little less today than a day before. One of the big issues is keeping it in the up position squeezed against me Dr. Eid wants it that way for two weeks. What was Dr. Kramer's protocol on that?

The purpose of that is "so any scaring that forms will be uniform and straight.  I saw someone on FT that suggested it was to keep the cylinders in place.  That is nonsense.

I am positive Dr. Eid told me I only had to do that until I started cycling (whenever that might be).

In any event, Merrix is a strong believer that the penis should never be forced down into briefs or pants until it is ready to flop down on its own (months).  His theory is that it reduces your erect angle.  Though I was once skepticle, now I would follow that advice.  That means always straight up of up at an angle with snug briefs or a supporter.

He really gave no specific advice. I found a wide band jock strap helpful. UMMC put me in a large size one that had about a 4 inch wide band. Not the cheap junk that Vanderbilt used. At home just sweat pants with it sticking up through the elastic. Long t-shirt to cover. At work, loose clothes. Oversized loose for a while.  I tried the straight up style underpants and they helped but like Merrix told me later, we both cut out the portion for the ball sack. I don't know what tiny little balls people they made those for but it did not work till there was room. You've got this and so far doing great! Cheers.
