Flacid penis peyronies?

62 year old man that is a bit confused.  I have an implant.  When inflated, I am 99% straight (or 90 degrees).  On deflation, I have a horrible curve to the right - probably 45 degrees.  I've been told by 2 urologist's that it is peyronies.  But the
curve is when I'm flaccid not erect.  Is this peyronies?

How they got to this conclusion? Do they found plaques?

Just by looking as far as I know.  Nothing special was done.  No tests or x-ray or anything.

james1947

You should get an ultrasound to confirm a plaque.
Just by looking is not a diagnosis.
Hopefully not, but the reason of the bend can be also a malfunction of the implant.

I hope that is the case.  I'm getting a revision done Sep. 5 by a different doctor.  I did not have a bit of a curve before the
implant last Oct.

I'm not too sure about peyronies with an implant since it was my impression that implants made it nearly impossible for scarring to harm your penis. I'm definitely the last person to ask about implants however.

Superman

Yes, the surgical report stated that plastic surgery was done to correct the angulation (which I had none prior).  It was straight both flaccid and erect.

Why you need correction?
Who was your first surgeon?
Who will be the new one?
Keep us informed after the surgery.

It is possible for severe peyronie's to cause a degree of angulation while flaccid. Mine looks a bit like a j while flaccid (though my uro suspects that could be interplay between the Peyronies Disease and congenital hypospadias which I've had since birth). But you would expect a significant bend/s when erect, which you don't have. It sounds as if your doc doesn't know his peyronie's from his butt. Get a 2nd opinion from a peyronie's literate uro. In my opinion it sounds as if your implant isn't quite in line with the natural angle your penis hangs. But hey, if it functions properly then that's what matters most.

The problem is that Peyronies is a progressive disease. If not treated, it may get to a stage that will bend the penis even when the implant is pumped up.

James I think you misunderstood me. I was referring to the surgery, not Peyronies Disease. What the OP describes sounds more like a surgical complication than actual Peyronies Disease. But he won't know until he's had proper investigation from a Peyronies Disease literate uro.

James,

When I'm deflated (still inflated to 50% or more because of auto-inflation) I have a very pointy left side of my penis (at least a 45 degree point).  It hurts with each step I take because of the rubbing against my pants, etc.  Like I said, I did not have any curve flaccid nor erect before the implant was put in.

In my opinion, you have to make the correction with one of the best surgeons, preferable someone that makes 100'ts of implants per year.
Can you tell us who made your implant?
Who will make the correction?
