Hi, guys.  I was diagnosed about 2 years + ago.  Had a morning erection when I awoke one morning and in shower felt a lump in my penis which, as one would imagine, caused some immediate concern.  Went to my primary and he immediately recognized the condition.  He asked whether it was causing erection issues or other sex problems... well, not really, but it hurts!  Other than that, he said it would only be a problem if it progressed...curvature at the time was not as pronounced.

A little less than a year prior, I'd had both a colonoscopy (I was then 57 and on a 3 year schedule due to polyps found previously) and a hernia repair.  Of course, I recieved a shave in prep for the surgery...I was already knocked out.  There were bruised looking parallel lines up the shaft as though the assistant had just started working like he or she was trimming a thick garden hedge.  I also suspect that I may have gone erect during the procedure and they did the little "twisting"  or whacking trick nurse-types are rumored to do in such cases...because:

the bend which soon became obvious is near the head of the penis...probably just a half to full inch below the head.  This makes sex possible even with the "stretching pain" and, for all I know, is bent in "just the right spot."  On the other hand, it's knocked a good inch off length and because the pain is located near the end...I dunno,  seems worse and the act tends to veer into the "chore" area rather than something you concentrate on trying to make you both enjoy (if that makes sense).

I have a pretty high pain threshold,  so I can kind of get past that (other than the constant reminder of what's wrong)...the length thing is disturbing and makes things feel "clumsy."

I've looked at the Vermpamil (sp?) and they've now approved at least limited use of xiaflex...but I don't want to make things worse.  I know my explanation above may make others with far more complex issues think I should just suck it up...but let's face it:  in this area of life,  no one needs complications.

I hope to learn new things here.

I split your post that you may have your own topic. It will help other members to answer directly to you.
I think your decision to understand better you options by learning on the forum is a good one.
In parallel you should try to find a Peyronies specialist and to get his opinion.
