My husband quite possiblly has this condition, but has no medical insurance.  Anyone have any ideas how to explore this elsewhere?  He's also diabetic and is already on multiple medications for that.

Sex has become an issue as he's experiencing pain during intercourse and that's not normal.  Please, if anyone has anything to add to this I am willing to take any and all advice.  He is currently  patient at a clinic for patients with no insurance but he is only a GP and certainly not specialized in urological issues.

Thanks!  I need some help emotionally and mentally too!!!  This is the biggest issue we've dealt with so far!

Sorry to hear about you husband problems.

Your husband need to see a doctor as soon as he can to understand from where the pain is coming.
Even the doctor is a GP, it may have knowledge in the subject. I meat (and other forum members also) urologists that don't have any knowledge in Peyronies, if this what you husband have.
But if the GP is not helpfull, try to read the "Urologists and Other Doctors", you may find a specialist in your area.
If you will say where (the area) you are living, forum members may give you they advice regarding doctors in your area.

I am proposing you to spend time and read the forum, begin from "Oral Treatments for Peyronie's Disease" board to learn what can be done to fight the disease.

We have also a "Woman only" board that is not visible to the male members. You may send a PM to Christine, she is the moderator of the board.

2kidsandadog,

It's tough to provide advice without more details on his condition. Not trying to be nosey, but this disease and manifest itself in many different ways. For example, you only mentioned pain and no other symptoms. So ASSUMING that he can achieve erections OK, that it is straight enough for intercourse, and that pain is the primary concern......  then I would push to get a prescription of Pentoxyfilline/Trental from the clinic GP. It is a very inexpensive medication and seems to have success in relieving erection pain.

Thanks for your responses.  I guess I wasn't very clear on his situation.  He's developed an indention on the side of his penis.  It started about a year and a half ago, but there didn't seem to be any pain.  His erections have been different and he's even complained that he doesn't get as erect as he used to (during masterbation) also.

He can still obtain some form of an erection, but the other morning I had to stop because he said it was too painful, and the most painfull intercourse has been thus far.

His physical change is what got me to start researching this.

He is going to his GP next week and will be presenting the research I found to see if he can make head or tails of this.  My husband is also diabetic so complications thereof are compounding this situation.  He had no problem with sexual activity or frequency in the beginning but over the last year and a half, things have been dwindling.

I will check out the woman's forum to get my support.  Last night he did say that his in ability to have any kind of sex is "messing with his head".  I did not share my feelings as it's messing with mine too!

Anyone taking any of the drugs prescribed and has it made a difference for you?  I guess I need to hear some success stories rather than the doom and gloom.

I think you have come to the right place. As suggested, you should try for pentoxyfiline. I have already started this from yesterday after understanding from this site. My Peyronies Disease is for about 2 years and I was in stable condition for at least one and half year before my 2nd injury last 2 months ago. I took Verapamil injection 2 times at the initial stage and I think that helped me.

You will learn many options avaliable if you read more. This site is very resourceful and have many experienced members like who already gave you some suggestions. Many success stories also posted here.Pls keep here posted after you see doctor so that  you can have further comments form fellow fighters. I want to tell your husband and you we are not alone, all here are helping, pls keep hope.

Best regards,

The treatments that some of us are doing help to keep healthy penis, each in different way.
If you can get prescription for Pentox (Trental) it may help with the pain. Myself didn't had pain, but many on the forum posted that Pentox reduced and stopped the pain. 2*400mg daily is what I am taking.
Daily low dose Cialis or Viagra may help for ED, nocturnal and morning erection (20mg Cialis cut by 4 will give 5mg)
Ubiquinol will help also with blood vessel 2*100mg daily
I am taking also L-Arginine 2*1000mg
