James..are you saying that Pentox did or did not lower your WBC? Post said it didn't? Because of PV? You have PV and you were hoping it would lower it? Sorry about Flu stuff..I've read that. I've been prescribed Pentox and am debating taking it. I'm otherwise a relatively healthy 45 yr old. Haven't exercised in literally 3-4 years for some stupid reason of laziness so maybe increased blood flow woild actually help me? Lol.  I've also read some report on here that it seems those that have calcified plaque seem to benefit from Pentox softening it and seeing results but those who have just soft plaque don't see much? Not sure though. Anecdotal.

I had calcified plaque. I took Pentox continuously for two years. It did nothing to reduce calcification, as the scan I had done just before my recent surgery showed.

I agree that there is anecdotal evidence of plaque softening, but for me it didn't work. For what it's worth, Dr Kuehhas believes that in the active phase it can be of use, but once you are past that, it will be of little use.

Freemason, I was hopping that Pentox will lower my WBC but it didn't. As I wrote, had no problems in the first 16 months, 3*400 mg daily, just month 17&18 the flue problems.
Jonbinspain, my plaques were calcified, shown on utrasound by two uro's a few times. I have not treated my Peyronies in the first three years, but the combination of VED, Pentox & low dose Cialis softened the plaques, eliminated hourglasses, got back "some" length and girth. How much was the contribution of the Pentox I really don't know.

I have been on Pentox (400mg 3x a day) for about 3 weeks with no side effects.

So far I can report that my pain has disappeared. This medication is just such a godsend for that reason alone. The consistent pain is what was making my life miserable. Yes, the deformity isn't great either, but I can still have sex.

I've also noticed a slight reduction in my rightward curvature. Additionally, my plaques feel a bit softer.

whoops!

Good to hear your pain has gone :)
Adding low dose Cialis and VED (carefully) may give you better results in my opinion

Thanks James! I have been wanting to try VED, so perhaps now is the time to start slowly.

I am about 2.5 months into my Pentox treatment (I started around 5 months after onset of symptoms) and I am very pleased with how it is going. See below for a quick run down of my experience:

- No side effects
- No new plaques have developed
- My first plaque, which one uro said was partially calcified, that was creating a rightward curvature has decreased in size by > 50%. My dick no longer curves all the way to the right. However, because there is a plaque on the left side of the penis, it now curves to the left. Hah. Also, indentation has substantially has substantially decreased.
- The plaque on my left side of my penis is beginning to shrink and has softened considerably. The indentation is beginning to fill in.
- My pain is gone
- My third plaque has undergone no change. However, it developed just before I began Pentox, so I expect it will take longer to see results with it.

I recognize that I am young and healthy, so my healing may not be completely related to the Pentox. However, so far so good. My doctor plans to have me on it for about 8 months, though I imagine I will take it longer if I keep healing.

I have been using Pentox now for a  month. My curvature seems to have lessened during this time, but I know this is a long process and will continue using Pentox for several months to see if the curvature is really reducing. I have noticed that my erections just don't seem to be as hard. Has anyone else on this forum experienced slightly weaker erections? This has made sex with my wife a little more difficult and only adds to my stress regarding this whole situation.  Is this a possible side effect? I will see my urologist in August for my first checkup after starting Pentox.

Are these meds / supplements safe to take with blood thinners ? (Coumadin /Warfarin) just curious if you might know right off the top of your head.

Thanks

I can say from experience and logic's that Pentox don't interfere with blood thinners. (corrected, wrote by mistake Pentox don't interfere with Pentox)
While on Pentox, continued with 100 mg aspirin every day.
Pentox is not a blood thinner. Pentox makes the red blood cells flexible so they can enter the thinnest blood vessels.
But you may want to ask your GP.

Hi everyone,
I just started taking Pentox 2 days ago.
Day 2 - started to feel nauseous.  I think I took the morning and lunch dose to close together.
Day 3 - feeling depressed.  Not sure it is from the Pentox. Or just trying to figure out what to do with Peyronies.  Should I just take Pentox (that is all Dr. Liu gave me). Should I also take Cialis or Viagra? I dont have Erectile Dysfunction, but have read on the forum it might be helpful? Should I take any other oral items? So confusing, and feel lost.

Anyone have ways to lessen the nausea when on Pentax? Or lower the depression?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Todaypen...I have been on Pentox for almost two months now. Along with a bunch of other supplements as well as going through the Xiaflex injections. I have experienced some nausea. But not often or severe. I only take it when I am eating something, which is recommended. Also a bit of diarrhea. Not bad though. Depression? I don't believe that is listed under the possible side affects. Give it some time to adjust to your body. But like anything else, everyone is different. Some experience the side affects, some don't.

I’d say always add a physical therapy to pentox (traction &/or VED) for best results (and even a low dose nightly PDE5i

Todaypen

I was taking Pentox 3*400 mg per day.
First with breakfast, second with lunch, third with dinner. Always with meal!
Last one at dinner at least 3 hours before going to sleep.
Start with one per day until your body will get used to, no side effects.
Continue with 2 per day (breakfast and dinner) until your body will get used to, no side effects.
Continue with 3 per day.
Wandering why your doctor didn't explain you how to take Pentox :( Maybe he didn't care too much about what happening to you.
The low dose Cialis every second day is because researches show that Pentox/Cialis combination works better that Pentox alone.
You don't have Erectile Dysfunction, so take 2.5 mg. Cut the 10 mg in 4 to reduce the price.
As TonySa wrote, add VED or traction to the treatment. Carefully not to damage yourself.
Myself using VED, sometimes using Viagra instead of Cialis if I was running out of stock. Cutting Viagra 50 mg in 3, not easy but can be done.

james1947, tonyode and TonySa, thanks!

Here is an update.  My nausea went away!  The first day on pentax, I was VERY nauseas. But, starting Day 3, I am free of symptoms.  (I wish I would have gradually started -- once a day, than twice a day-- But, anyway, all is good now.)

Also, I realized the depression has nothing to do with pentax, and everything to do with the shock of getting peyronies.   The good news is the depression has gone away.

I am taking pentax three times a day, and bought the restorex.  Let's see how that works.
