Hi all!
Long time seeker, but first time poster.
I have a very strong upward curve (90, maybe even 100 degrees) now :(. Have for a while actually (I think congenital?) but used to be less severe. Never thought about treatment until 4 years ago - I started to bleed after ejaculation if the angle was wrong. Horrible, painful, embarrassing. Now actively seeking treatment and so happy this forum exists! I will be posting on the surgery one soon - but I think that's my only option. Let me know your thoughts!

This is my longer explanation of what's happening to me in case this is a good place to put it!!

Hi all,
I have a massive upward curve - probably 90-100 degrees total (yes, the top curves backwards towards my stomach - ughhhh). Its always been curved up - congenital, but gotten worse. Never caused me problems and I even liked it at first bc for sex people said it felt good!

This all changes in 2021 - I was having sex and on ejaculation - I said intense pain in my shaft - near the bottom. After that, I had BLOOD come out after the semen. Not a little either, a lot. Like, runny, red blood and it continues for a few minutes and more comes out when I squeeze. It's traumatizing, for me and my partner.

I thought it was a fluke, but over the last 4 years, it's happened multiple times. It's always the same - no issues with masturbation, and if I'm able to align my body so that the penis does not feel bend at all (think, if missionary, I have to be laying almost directly on top of them) - then I can ejaculate without issue. But if there is even a minor movement, curve - like they move their body or head (if oral) - BOOM! Pain and blood. It's so horrifying and has killed my confidence :(. And now the curve makes my dick look weird.

I did try traction with restoreX however 1) I think the curve is just too severe and 2) tbh, I couldn't get into using it enough to make a different. That one is on me - but I really feel like a 90 degree curve that's bleeding just unfortunately needs surgery.

They did an ultrasound and no plaque, but I feel the curve starts almost all the way at the base, and continues throughout. The pain from ejaculation/blood though is always near the base.

Do you think surgery is the right way to go and should I get plication? I feel like it's the only option. I can't keep bleeding everytime I orgasm. I'm soooo scared of losing length or having ED - but something has to give.

Also, I'm in Chicago. I have read Dr. Levine stories and just do not feel comfortable seeing him. Has anyone heard/experiences either:

I am sorry to hear about your situation. So what I am wondering is did they find the cause for the pain and especially the bleeding? Congenital curvatures are usually left alone by Dr's for the most part. Now if there are plaques and pain then there need to be further investigating.

Surgery usually is a last option and needs to be carefully thought out. Do you have a peyronies Dr currently? Are you educated about peyronies and have you downloaded our survival guide --> Survival Guide .

My Dr is Dr Levine from Chicago and I was satisfied with the treatment he prescribed. I do know of other member though that had negative reviews about him. So if you are still contemplating another opinion you could get his advice for further comparisons. Surgery in my opinion is something not to be taken lightly or with a fast decision without being completely informed.
