I believe this is where I post an intro so here it goes

Age. 31

Dr. Suspects peyronies despite not palpating plaque June 27 24 (visible semierect hourglass)

Brief sx overview:
Onset: flaccid pain constant 2/10 occasional painful erections at night 4/10

Week 4: semi erect hourglass. Suspected but subtle loss of length/girth (started measuring)

Week 8: pain less constant confirmed loss of approx 1 inch when erect (didn't measure girth) not complete ED but need physical stimulation for erection which is new. Feels less hard when hard (partner can't notice)

Week 12 urologist appt. Vitamin E and wait. Hourglass visible flaccid. Gone when erect. Can still have great sex

Week 16(present): noticing very subtle dent near head of penis. Hourglass still only when flaccid or semierect. Possible hard flaccid

Tx: gentle traction by hand (15-90 min daily) and vitamin E

Insured

Psych. Hard to say in few words but best described as impending suicidality.  I am in therapy and on antidepressants. I am largely happy now. I can easily cope with aesthetic changes or shorting of my penis as long as I can have a sex life that is satisfying for me and my partner. I am going to research and attempt every conceivable Treatment with optimism. But also positive if I become incapable of sex or a lover that can only be endured rather than enjoyed I will end things. This mindset seems resistant to both therapy and SSRIs

Relationship: gf of 2 years. Great sex. Great relationship. Open communication about Peyronies Disease.
Symptoms started May 27 2024. Hourglass (only semi erect) narrowing, one inch lost. Diagnosed June 20th Dr. Zbraki

Welcome to the forum RdubaU and thank you for filling out your signature line. Also please download our survival guide -->Survival Guide . This will give you a better understanding of peyronies and it's different treatments.

Well it is obvious that you got peyronies from dupuytren's contracture. It is a genetic predisposition that a lot of men get from that hand disease.

So did the Dr perform an ultrasound? You say your erections are fine and sex is good. You need to keep an eye on any further injury from sexual activity. I would not recommend manual traction because you don't have a clue as to how much force you are generating. You need to try some consistent traction with either the PMP or the Restorex. You will regain some of your lost size/length. Just give it time and adopt the mindset that this is a marathon and not a sprint. You should also look into trying some VED therapy. There is info in the forum regarding it.

Has your Dr discussed traction with you? Many supposed urologists are clueless regarding peyronies and you need to realize this. If you have a food relationship with your Dr then you can discuss traction and VED therapy.

Keep a positive outlook and adopt a plan of action as things do get better. You need to keep educating yourself with the knowledge presented in this forum. Read the posts and know you are not alone in this. All of us men here have experienced very similar symptoms mentally and physically. We did not give up hope or our plan of action.

Thanks Mike. This forum is a God send. I have read the survival guide. Been reading a TON of forum posts and have learned alot. Some gaps in my knowledge that I haven't found any where are the answer to just 3 questions. Maybe know one knows but I'll try here
1. Does mild peyronies exist? (as in peyronies with the ability to have mutually satisfying penatrative sex with a partner)
2. Is the stable phase a myth or has anyone ever stabilized? Like permanently. I've read posts say they are stable but then it always seems they get worse and only have bouts of stability
3. If there is a stable phase has there ever been a single account of the hourglass stabilizing at only the semierect state and not progressing to a buckling or deformed full erection.

Thanks again for responding and I hope your Peyronies Disease is still stable.

Also thanks for the tip about Manuel traction. I'll switch to restorex or VED asap. I was doing manual based on a video from Neoman but maybe that is not reliable. Yes. First two Drs seemed oblivious. I have an appt with a urologist with Peyronies Disease experience. Unfortunately first available appoinment is 4 months from now. So looking for ways to mitigate this myself in the mean time.

As far as mild peyronies I can say yes and no. Peyronies is such a disease of mystery as it can affect each man differently. One man may have it for a short duration with mild symptoms and then recover completely. Another man may have just the opposite with a long painful duration of acute symptoms. Peyronies is a healing disorder gone out of control and thrives in the human body under the umbrella of inflammation.

Yes the stable phase does exist and some men never have another occurrence in their lifetime. Others may have another episode and go through it all over again.  Remember though that the second time around a man is usually prepared to treat it swiftly as they have already experienced it. I am sure that each man is careful regarding sex even when they are in the stable phase.

As far as your hourglass question I do not have any info there. I am sure there are other men here that can comment.

My peyronies disease is stable now but I am careful and still continue VED and some mild traction on occasion.

Thanks again Mike. Glad to hear stable is possible. And I'm not sure what the etiquette is here so sorry if this is too personal a question but I am curious. When you say "careful" what has that meant for you in regards to your sex life? Sex still possible/worth having?

No worries this is a judgment free zone. When I say be careful with sex you need to be avoid woman on top positions - or be extremely careful because of a penile fracture. Also you need to use lube obviously and have a hard erection. My wife and I are careful because she has been with me throughout the entire peyronies journey. In the beginning we had boundaries and were scared that I would reactivate my peyronies. Now things are spontaneous and fun again. Anxiety from peyronies is very real and also causes damage!
