I am a 57 YO who has failed Xiaflex and have decided to proceed with an Implant in the next 2 months. I have 80-90 degree curvature and have researched all treatment options and will proceed with an AMS 700 series device. I was interested in the LGX however my "Implant Fellowship Trained" Urologist and AMS/Boston reps I know feel, the LGX is definitely not the way to go and would implant a CX instead. They feel the overall strength of the CX is much better than the LGX and the LGX may not correct the curvature as well as the CX. The urologist feels the LGX would be contraindicated in my situation. Has anyone been given similar advise?
Thanks.

To my understanding, implants are primarily used for cases of E.D. I'm older than you, I also had a virtual 90 degree curvature; it was treated with surgery via the Stage technique.

Unless you suffer with otherwise untreatable E.D, can I ask why an implant has been suggested?
