Narrowing at base or Venous Leak?
« on: June 15, 2015, 03:42:48 PM »

Okay guys, I'm new to this forum. This topic may have fit under other sections, but I wasn't sure. If it does, then I apologize. I couldn't really find a section where I thought it fit.

Recently, in the past 3 or 4 weeks or so, I've noticed a worsening in the condition of my penis. I measured with an erection and noticed that I was a half inch or so shorter than the last time I had measured. I also noticed that my very very slight curve to the left worsened. The curve seems to start at the base of my penis where I've experienced dramatic narrowing since developing peyronies about a year and a half ago.

Since noticing this decrease in length I've also noticed loss in rigidity of erections, and also I've noticed that I must apply constant stimulation to achieve erections. These erections go away very quickly when not stimulated and they're also much softer. Every day since noticing these softer erections, they have become worse. This may be all in my head though. I sure have scared myself at the notion that I may have a venous leak. This could definitely be resulting in the weaker erections, however, the weak erections were there to begin with.

What I'm wondering is if these symptoms may be caused by plaque and scarring that is at the base of my penis. I remember the incident in which I injured my penis. The pain happened deep at the base of my penis. It even felt like the pain went into the portion of my penis that is inside of my body so to speak. So I'm wondering if these problems with erections are due to a worsening in the tissue at the base of my penis or if it's a venous leak thing. I read somewhere that spider veins occur often when you have a venous leak. I have veins showing like that that weren't there before the trauma.

I'm having some tests done soon that will hopefully clear some of this up. They happen in about 2 weeks time.

It might be worth mentioning that I masturbate pretty frequently usually once a day but lately a bit less. I've also ceased all masturbation in fear that I've injured myself once again or have been making my condition worse.

In the meantime I really would like to hear from others who have narrowing at the base of the penis. Or from those with a venous leak. Or both. Any input is welcome. I appreciate any thoughts you guys have.

From what you are detailing it sounds like you have venous leak and also blood flow constriction, but I am not a doctor.
The real answer you can get from a Peyronies specialist that will make you an ultrasound to have a diagnosis.
Just one more point:
I don't want to scare you more than you are, but without treatment usually things get worst.
By the way, how long time you was on Pentox?

Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe Erectile Dysfunction.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum

What did you do to injure your penis? And why is it only that people just mention. Venous leak? There are more things that you can have, other than that..
