Active Phase Guy Needs Advice
« on: September 15, 2012, 12:55:30 AM »

I’m 43. Close to Houston, USA. I have had this for about 7 months now. First noticed it the beginning of March 2012. I’ve been on Pentox, L Arginine, Vitamin E for 5 ½ months. I take Ubiquinol and L Carnitine occasionally. I have several bumps (plaques) on the top side that are causing a basic arc curve that is bending back toward my abdomen. I also have one on the left side middle that is causing an indention. For the first six months it seemed to stay basically the same, then about a month ago it started to act up and get worse. I feel the burning sensation a lot. I got this from an injury from 8 or 9 years ago. Never had any problems in all that time. Perfectly straight until earlier this year.

I recently got some cialis and have taken it a few times. I don’t know if this is a good idea or not. I don’t need it to get an erection. Plenty of morning wood. I also don’t know if basic sex is a good thing or causing more damage. Should I limit it or stop. I don’t want to cause more problems.

It’s starting to get to me. If there is anything else I could take or do , I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

You might try the VED. There are expensive three cylinder models available, or you can buy one like this: http://www.diabetessupplies4less.com/94009701.html and modify it with the instructions here. Along with that I would take a very hard look at what factors in your life might be contributing to an ongoing inflammatory response in your body. Things like diet are critical. Low-dose Cialis helps block the formation of scar tissue somewhat, so if you're comfortable with taking it that might help. Just a few milligrams a day (2-5 mg) should be enough. As for L-Arginine, if you can tell it is helping you with bloodflow and erection strength I would continue to take it, but this post speaks to the need for amino acid testing, and I haven't found it to be really necessary for myself. It's effects are also increased by taking alongside Pycnogenol, so if you continue taking it you might try that as well (it's kind of expensive).

Many have their conditions halted or slowed down drastically with Pentox, so if your condition is still very active while on it you might have some strong underlying issues that need to be addressed. Has it helped you?

As far as I can tell the pentox is doing nothing. I'm afraid of using a VED device that it might make matters worse by causing more damage/inflammation. Also really want to know opinions on having sex at this point of active phase. It hurts and burns afterward. Should I just stop altogether. I don't know.

Sex in and of itself is no worse than erections and..... erections are generally considered beneficial for several reasons (blood flow, Oxygen, stretching etc).

The only problem is what a person does in the name of sex.  I am being literal when I say that many people have rough sex to the point of bruising the genital area of both parties.  I could go on and on.  The safest sex is well lubricated intercourse with a partner you have an ongoing relationship with so you get no unexpected surprises and don't have to spend each session explaining basic rules.

What to avoid:
Female on top (many bad misses result if your penis getting jammed with full female body weight)
No rough squeezing or rough masturbation during foreplay or oral sex  (request some of the same tender treatment she would like for her cliterous)
No sex intercourse if i results in buckling or accordion action of your penis with each thrust. (caused by weak erections insufficient lubricant)

Regarding sex, my opinion is that you should continue your sex life as before but caution not to make some damage if the intercourse is not painful. Follow the gudelines of Hawk.
For Pentox to show effectiveness it takes time and the best dosage is 3*400mg daily. Regarding the pain, usually Pentox helps in a short time. How much daily Pentox do you take?
I will say that VED is a good thing if used carefully, but if you have pain don't use VED.
The low dose Cialis may helps block scar tissue formation as Swolf has stated, I would take 2.5mg daily as you don't have Erectile Dysfunction.
L-Cartinine will help also with the subject, but you have to take it on daily basis and not occasionally, same with the Ubiquinol.
To have an effective treatment, you need in my opinion daily:
Pentox 3*400mg (I am taking 2, not tolerating 3)
Ubiquinol 3*100mg (I am taking 2)
L-Cartinine 3*500mg
L-Arginine 2*1000mg
Cialis 2.5mg

Thanks for the replies. I've been taking pentox 400mg 3xday for 5 1/2 months now. The carnitine i will try to use more, but it gives me major constipation. I'll keep trying regardless. It's just kind of depresses me a lot. Thanks again.

One note on the Pentox. Even though it is a very small percentage of men, there is some indication that Pentox may actually worsen Peyronies Disease in some individuals.  I would have to dig to find that data and the evidence for it but I know it exists.  If you feel you are actually worsening after 5 months at 3 a day you might want to just drop the Pentox for a month to see the result.  It is a tough call and only you can make that decision.

If you are stable but getting no better, I would probably keep taking it.
