On cloud, go to EDcure site as well as the coloplast site and "find specialist" you can look up your state and will show urologist that use their devices as well show any "center of excellence" in Alabama.  After that I would start looking up that doctor online,  you can also email each mfg and ask them if a particular surgeon uses their device and may tell you more info but it will be limited, remember they are in sales as well.  I would think there would  be one at UAB,  there is a doctor in Atlanta they say on this site is very good..  Hakky I think, also search a Doctors name here on FT and they may or may not show up.  But there are Plenty of good surgeon's out there.  Goodluck

I just quickly looked at EDcure Dr Brian Christine in Homewood " center of excellence"
Alan McCool in Jasper" center of excellence "

I went to Dr. Trost's clinic for Xiaflex injections (6).  My curvature is better, but my erections are pathetic.  Intercourse is not possible.  My girth and length have reduced significantly.  Has anyone had an implant done by him?
Age 66
Onset 2020, deformity late 2020
Restorex with Pentoxifylline early
Continue Restorex with 6 Xiaflex inj 2025
Length and girth loss with HG deformity, some bend improvement.

New pain, possible new active phase🙁

Never heard of him, but check him by checking with the manufacturer. For example Coloplast (which makes the Titan implant) and Boston Scientific (which makes the AMS 700 and Ambicor series).
You can go to their sites and check for centers of excellence. You definitely want a high volume surgeon, if you don't you will regret it.
Best wishes,

Stepone,

He was the head of the Male Infertility and Peyronie's at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.  Now he has his own clinic in Utah.  I haven't discussed an implant with him yet.  I see from your info that you have an implant.  How has it worked out for you?

Scooter, I love my implant. I can have sex whenever I want, but we pretty much do it twice a week.
My implant changed my life completely. First, it is bigger, wider, and longer than it's post peyronies size.
When I look at it, I stil think sometimes, this is a great looking cock. LOL.
I have had a few issues with the pump. The pump sticks on this particular model. So it takes a lot more work to deflate sometimes, but it's still worth it.
I went to a Titan specialist in Orlando two months ago and he said yes, there have been problems witht this particular model and year. He suggested I try to hold out, until the pump fails. He said, my penis looked good and why risk another surgery, if it's only a mild inconvenience now. I agreed.
I have since looked at the AMS implants, as they have a new model with an easier pump.
I think if I have to replace the one I have, I will definetly go with the Boston Scientific (with its AMS 700 and TENACIO pump).
But I do love my Titan, I wished I had done it sooner!
I can't believe all the suffering I went through, needlessly.

StepOne, that sounds great!  I'm going to discuss it with Dr.Trost for two reasons, my age and Peyronies Disease condition.  I'm getting tired of trying to make it better.

Take it easy!

Good luck. Be sure to tell him how it has affected your "quality of life".
I wished I had done mine 5 years sooner. I truly suffered for 5 years, at times unable to have sex, ruining my sex life and relationship.
Do it as soon as possible. An important note, when you get the surgery, it takes a while for things to heal and for you actually back to the "the new normal". My sex life improved more and more with each passing year. But be patient, there is a healing period and a period of time for psychological period of adjustment. It's not a sprint, but definitely a marathon.

I found out that Dr Trost doesn't do implants.  I was assuming he did only because it was mentioned in the different treatments for Peyronies Disease.

You can contact both penile implant device manufacturers and ask them for surgeons in your area that are on the "center of excellence" list.

I checked the Coloplast site and a Dr I saw 4 years ago at the onset of my symptoms is on their list.  He's in Denver, trained at the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic.  I'm going to contact his office to see what his experience is in terms of how many he does in a year.  If it sounds promising, that would be good.  That's an hour and a half drive.  Also,  I've started to look at Dr Lentz.

I haven't seen any comments regarding the Mayo Clinic for implants, unless I've missed them.  Has anyone gone there or know of anyone that has?  If so, how was the experience?

Scooter, good luck in your search, but it's not the hospital to be checking out. It's the surgeon, when I met Dr. Lentz for the first time, I asked him, how many penile implants had he done in the previous year.
The other important task is to look up the brand of implant you are planning to get and look up centers of excellence for that brand.
Hope this helps,
