Early in my Peyronies journey. Should I use a device as a preventative measure?

I'm 34 years old and I was diagnosed with Peyronies a little less than two years ago after experiencing pain during sex and finding two lentil sized lumps in the shaft of my penis. So far, I don't appear to have any visible deformations. I've experienced some ED I'm still able to achieve erections on a regular basis. I often use sildenafil during sex to make sure I'm at 100% to avoid bending. Since my diagnosis, the pain had been much more mild and rare and I no longer feel lumps.

Two nights ago, I experienced intense pain during sex that I still feel today. That experience, along with the knowledge that my dad has had to receive serious treatment for his own peyronies diagnosis, leads me to believe that I should get serious about preventing further injury and worsening my condition.

Would a traction device or pump be helpful or is that for people who already have visible curves, shrinking, or dents? How should I be managing my condition at this stage?

Thanks

So two years ago you were diagnosed with peyronies and basically it did resolve on it's own? You also say that your dad has had it also. Does he have dupuytren's contracture disease? This is genetic and you could very well be predisposed to it.

If you are experiencing pain now I would say be careful and definitely look into traction and VED therapy. The two traction devices we recommend are the Restorex and the PenimasterPro.  VED and traction can both be used in preventative help and bring some healing. They can be used anytime and can stretch things out like dents and deformities. I would also look into heat therapy for bringing healing and promoting blood flow.

Do you have a urologist to go to? I would also say you should get some preliminary measurements of your penis for reference if things get worse. The main thing to remember is that this is a marathon and not a sprint. Be gentle in your sexual encounters and use a lot of lube. Pain is a great indicator to be careful.  :)

Hey thanks for the response.

Yes, I was diagnosed around two years ago but the two lumps are no longer present. My dad hasn't be diagnosed with dupuytren's contracture disease but I'll look into it.

I'm curious if there are any threads comparing VED vs traction therapy. I have no clue which would be right for me.

I received my diagnosis from a urologist. I've measured and so far it seems like my size hasn't changed. We use lube as needed, I was advised by someone on this forum to avoid girl on top positions since that has been the most frequent trigger for me.

Cheers and thanks again
