Title: Hyperbaric Oxygen Question
Post by: Keith Walts on May 29, 2021, 09:33:29 PM
I'm going to be starting hyperbaric oxygen therapy on Tuesday to try and help my inflammation and erectile dysfunction. There's a couple studies saying that it can help with ED. But I've been doing some reading over the weekend and it turns out that Hyperbaric Oxygen will also increase collagen production. Considering that fibrosis and peyronies is made up of collagen, thick non elastic tissue, I'm having serious second thoughts on starting it.

Anybody who knows a lot about this stuff and more about Peyronie's/Collagen/Fibrosis than I do, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello my friend,

I know little of the treatment your considering. Except there is I tiny and I mean tiny amount of evidence it is beneficial.

However, coincidentally I happen to be reading an article on scar formation and prevention. Some of this information maybe helpful for you to understand scar behaviour and help make an informed choice?

I'd be surprised if you receive many answers to your question. It's a new treatment.

Whatever the outcome. Please could you be good enough to let us know here?

It would be helpful.

Hope you recover.

I did 15 hyperbaric oxygen treatments with 9 of them at 2 atmospheres. Didn't do anything for my Peyronie's. It costed $180 per treatment session. Not cheap.
