Title: VED causing changes
Post by: goodluck on November 17, 2012, 01:51:56 PM
I have been Using the VED for nearly a year and I have posted my progress at times in the past.  It has all been positive until recent.  Or atleast it seems negative it may be normal.....I don't realy know.

I have an hourglass contion that seems to have been improving on one side only.  As a result I am now getting a curve.

My blood flow seems to have improved on one side and not on the other.  It may have even worsed slightly distal of the hourglassing as my erection seems a bit weaker down stream.

I am not sure what is going on.  Has anyone else expereinced such a progression.  I am not sure if the VED is related or not.  My pain overall  has improved but it currentlu the  seems to be worse now on the top and side the hourglassing is not improving.

Any thoughts welcomed.

My own experience with the VED and oral medication was similar to what you described.  I believe the combination produces an overall increase in blood flow (a very good thing!), which shows as greater total filling volume.  At my June ultrasound, the arterial blood (inflow) was three times the minimum needed to produce an erection.  By encouraging blood flow, collateral circulation (additional blood vessels) may be created, and the existing ones increased in size (volume).

I do not think the plaque itself was changed one way or the other by the VED or medications/supplements.  However, by having an overall larger (thicker, fuller) penis, everything got larger, except the plaque.  The curve then began to appear much worse.

...but doen't this go against what ved is supposed to do? ie. stretch out your penis around the area of the plaque in order to reduce the curve?

You're saying that ved by stretching the cells and making your penis fuller will therefore make thge curve seem worse? so how does the curve eventually lessen in those that have had success with ved?

I think OldMan will give better explanation than me but VED is stretching the penis around the plaque, this why in the long term it reducing curvature.

In my case peyronies has hit mostly my left chamber, left side is almost half of the girth it once was. I also have a indentation in the underside of the penis, between corposa and urethra, dent on the urethra.

What I  noticed right when I started to use VED (just tried it for 2 weeks now and having troubles otherwise as well..) is that the right side gets fuller and everything - but that causes the penis to hang almost sideways as the right side is fuller and left side is not, only tighter if anything.  This also made the curve look more aggressive during erection.

I don't know if it goes like this first, and perhaps the left side will follow when the plaque stretches. I'm probably giving VED another try after a while.

I may be stirring the hornet's nest, but here goes. What you are describing is exactly what I experienced with the VED. The theory is to promote blood flow and stretch the penis. This is all good and the VED does that very well. The problem, I felt, is that it stretches everything equally. Therefore, a curve just became a stretched curve. There was definite improvement in the overall appearance of my penis, but the curve was just as pronounced. That is why I built my own curved VED cylinder. I have a 70* curve left. I built my cylinder with a +/-70* curve. I place it so that my penis gets stretched the opposing direction of my Peyronies curve, to the right. I feel like this stretches the short side of my curve more than it does the long side. I have been using my curved cylinder for one month. I see definite improvement in my flaccid hang, but little change when erect. Why? I don't know, but I plan to keep using this regimen because it just makes sense to me. I have seen no ill or uncomfortable effects. It feels just like the straight cylinder. Keep in mind, I am not trying to persuade, recommend, nor solicit my idea. This just seems to coincide with goodluck's observations.

I would like to say that VED treatment is not a sprint, is a Marathon. It takes time to see results and needs consistency.
Some people get very good results, some not. Myself gained back 1/2" length but the curve remain the same.
Like everything with Peyronies, for some helps, for some not. :(

James,
So noted. I realize this is not an overnight fix. But I do really feel that stretching the opposite direction of my curve should speed up the process. So I turn two years therapy into 1 1/2 years. That is worthwhile.

Norm, can you post an image of your VED personal construction?

Dio,
Here it is with 2 cylinders. I can make any curve I like. The one with most curve is what I use.

wow... I'm not sure what to say about this... you've obviously got some skills in the inventor department.

I can see the thought process behind this, but in my own case, I'm not sure I could see this working, as it's hard enough trying to get the curve to engorge in a straight way, let alone in the opposite direction to the curve, if you get what I mean.

But kudos to you for trying out new ways. I applaud you, and hope it works for you.

Norm,

I too applaud your inovation and can do attitude. I  envission how the process you developed works.  It seems some may have to start out slowly and progress to more agressive angles over time.  You may need to make serval tubes with different bends to accomodate progress.

Kudos.
Lets us know how things progress.

Thank you. I did start with a tube of lesser angle, but graduated to the more curved one. I am not seeing that the degree of curvature of the cylinder really matters. The key seems to be to get enough curve to create opposite bend, any opposite bend. Placing more stretch on the shorter side, the side with the plaque, just makes more sense to me. While using the standard VED model, I still curved inside of it. Knowing that this process takes a long time to produce results, it just seems to me that doing the same regimen while also applying opposite bend should produce faster results. Many here have achieved positive results from using the traditional VED. I applaud their success. But what if I can turn 3 years of pumping into 2.  Would not that be worthwhile? Time will tell.

Guys, if you're using a VED, are you making sure you eat enough protein? Your penis needs the protein to repair damage and if you are eating only a small amount of protein everyday, you are likely inhibiting your efforts. I work out almost every day so I consume about 180-250 grams of protein each day. My muscles repair quickly and my hair and nails grow like crazy.

I also encourage taking a multi-vitamin along with the herbs and powders that are applicable for men and our condition. I outlined a list of items I take everyday in my intro post.

Also, don't waste your money buying that stuff at the GNC since you'll pay a fortune and it's doubtful they'll have much of the items you need. I suggest an online source to stay within your budget and choice of manufacturers.

Also, if you are over 40 years old, I suggest you look into growth hormones and testosterone enhancement. We need the growth hormones for a variety of functions including tissue repair and sexual function. As we age, our bodies produce less GH. Enhancing our GH is essential. And, of course, maintaining an optimal testosterone level is critical. Please look into Axiron. It works in harmony with your natural testosterone so you don't see serious side effects. You can get the first month free and then get a co-payment card from the manufacturer that will make the cost very small. Please check it out.
