Title: Is there anything that can be done for me?
Post by: Trapper on January 12, 2023, 11:52:46 AM
Hey guys,

I visited my urologist and had a Doppler and he says I do have small micro plaques midshaft and "subtle" narrowing in the area. My erections are good on the Trimix he gave me for the Doppler and not any less firm distal to the plaque.

The problem is when I am at home I do notice my erections are less firm distal to the plaque although I am probably firm enough for penetration but I've lost my confidence to even find a new girl to try with. When I'm fully erect my dick appears normal but I can feel the narrowing like an hourglass but mostly a dent on the left side.

I've had this for years but it has become more prounounced since an injury in November. I've been told to wait 3-6 months but I'm so depressed over it. Is there anything that can be done surgically or otherwise?

An implant would be the only real solution here. Narrowing and it's effects is one of the worst parts of this disease. Very few things have been studied upon that shows any dramatical improvement. Some men did Xiaflex and got a little better. The only ones I heard who got the problem completely solved were those who got Titan implants.

Yeah that's what I thought but Drs say no no don't do that. I even asked Dr. EID and he said wait at least 3-6 months to see what the injury does. Meanwhile I'm in a bad place physiologically after only 2 months who knows where I'll be in 4 more!? I think dr.s are resistant to doing an IPP because I'm young can get a hardon on high doses of PDE5's and the narrowing/indent  Is "subtle".

Have you heard anything about this procedure sonic?

Yes, ETG was something I was interested in but no one in my country does that procedure.

Also there is a few guys on here who has visited highly experienced docs like Dr. Levine to ask about ETG and he told them it will fill out the deformity but offer no structural support. I don't know if you suffer from instability while erect but I do. It's the instability that bothers me not the looks of the indent. Perhaps for you it is different.

I talked to Dr Trosted about it and he told me that only does it with moderate or severe hourglass and is basically for cosmetic reasons, he doesn't guarantee that will provide extra support for the penis, because is a new procedure they don't know the effects long term. Talking about implants, if you want to know more there is a different forum FT, where there are hundreds of men with implants, unfortunately a lot of them have problems with them, honestly at this moment the only thing we can do to get better mentally is 'acceptance' and know that our penises won't never be the same.

Agree with this and this is something I have come to terms with.

I have accepted this fact and moved on but to accept that my sex life is over especially at such a young age is impossible for me.

I'll keep on going to different doctors until one of them is able to at least fix it good enough for sex.

If I mentally gave up and told myself nothing can be done I would fall into a crippling depression.

Hey Sonic,

If you are at that point why not get the implant? I can get erections sufficent for sex they are just not really satisfactory to me because I am used to being ROCK hard and not feeling weird tissue. If I reached the point where I couldn't have sex at all I would be doing everything in my power to get the implant ASAP it would be much better than the alternative of killing myself because I wouldn't want to go through life like that.

The reason because some urologist recommend implants at older age is because if you are lucky and don't have complications it last between 5 to 10 years, and each revisionincrease more fibrosis and the risk of infection,it is what it is, some implantees and Implant reps would tell you that they lasted for 20 years because they only care about their pockets

I've never even had the discussion with a doc about it. I strongly suspect none of them would even be willing to do one and also the surgerons who operate them here do perhaps 5-10 a year in other words the risk of bad outcome is probably high.

If my current situation goes on and I get offered an implant there is prrobably an 80% chance I'd do it because it's 2 years of pretty advanced ed for me now and years are going incredibly fast, life is getting shorter and I am seeing slim improvements and honestly getting sick of it all now.

Budluck,

I disagree with you. Dr. EID says an implant today will most likely last 10-15 years. He has had some patients who have lasted 20 years. He advices a maximum of 2-3 revisions. So thats 20-45 years of a solution to the problem. Also, barring a collapse of civilization I think it is unlikely further advancements in reconstructive urology will not occur over this time period.

I understand you, but now because of my extensive fibrosis I wonder if it would be safe to install an implant, I read that fibrosis makes the implantation to be riskier and you carry the risk of getting damage on your urethra. Look, you and I are on the same boat, do I want to take a risk to get my urethra perforated, impotent and not being able to pee? And for how long will the implant last without problems?

Bud,

Here is what I would do if I were you. I would go with Dr. Eid (or maybe another surgeon from hawks high volume surgeon list) and setup a video consult or in person if you are lucky enough to live in the area. Go over all your questions and concerns and make sure to tell them the impact this is having on your life. Then make sure you have some cash on hand or take out a loan for a surgical trip assuming you have insurance you should be able to accomplish the surgery with 3-6k.

I don't have insurance, so I will have to pay for Eid $30000 and for Clavell $20000. The money is not the issue, the issue are the possible complications like chronic pain, infection or problems urinating. Now my problem are erections, do I rake the risk to add more problems besides erections?, but thank you for taking your time trying to help

I want to ask both you guys since all 3 of us have narrowing in common.

I used to get insane pleasure out of just masturbating prior to peyronies.

Ever since I got the disease even jacking off feels so bad. I get almost no pleasure at all.

I can literally feel parts of the dick not filling with blood. Even at max erection if feels so bad.

Do you share this experience or no?

Sonic,

That had been occurring for me like the tip felt fkd up and it was harder to achieve orgasm and when I did climax it didn't feel as good and felt incomplete. Lately though my tip feels better and my orgasms feel MUCH better. The main thing that bothers me is the slight dent in my erections on the left side midshaft the rest of my erection feels normal but due to it not expanding I feel if I masterbate with my usual grip pressure I might break that part of my dick. So I kind of gently rub it.

A couple months after my injection of PRP combined with O Zone therapy  I developed a hinge on the base of my shaft where the testicles are that is the last part of my dick to fill up with blood, if my erection is not at least 90% it moves to the left, it is so crazy!!!!. Now with the depression I'm getting a hard time to ejaculated, so far my girlfriend is still with me but I feel bad for her, she deserves a normal penis
