My second opinion…

Went for my second opinion today, he recommends shockwave therapy!  After reading the forum about the therapy, I kinda wanna stay away from it.  I didn't commit to it because they're supposed to get back to me about the pricing for six sessions.

My only issue is the plaque creates discomfort from time to time.  There are changes but no curve, I'm in my fifth month. There's also the mental stuff.

Maybe I just keep massaging the plaque before accepting any treatment?  I don't know, this whole this is just weird.  Many of you are going through so much more.  I wish you the best!

Hey Frank.

I am yet to read online and here in the board about a member having had their situation improved by shockwave. A lot of "studies" and "articles" but when it comes to members experiences and what they share? Not much, if any. Give it a search on the board and judge by yourself.

Waste of money imho. I am sorry for saying this.

Pfract, no need for apologies.

I did read through some threads here, nothing really positive at all.  However I spent the last hour or so googling and it's all the complete opposite, all positive.

My issue is the discomfort from the plaque, I have good days and bad days.  I do have slight changes in the last five months since diagnosis.  It's all so confusing.  :-(

Shock wave therapy is a way to make easy money for the providers, just like the P-shot scam. I tried both, I spend $3000 just to make my condition worse!!!!!.
My first symptoms started early in 2019
I tried Traction device, Pentofixiline, Q10, TRT, L-Argenine, cialis
I have narrowing/dent/hinge on the left side of my shaft
My ED is getting worse
Had a PRP shot Aug 2021

I once saw a doctor who calls himself an expert in peyronies disease and has a big online presence in my country and a YouTube channel where they do lots of content to attract a young audience. he diagnosed me with peyronies disease and told me there is nothing he can do besides they started to offer shockwave and he suggested if I want to see it get better I need to get this therapy. and pay for it private of course. thankfully I am well read on the literature regarding this and you have to be to see through these private practitioners BS. its just a money grab for them. they buy this machine for a few thousand and use it for 20 minutes on a patient and after a few months its already paid off. then its just pay day from there.

there f'~c<+d that this is allowed, that this guy can tell me I need to get this if I want to see improvement(he did not want to prescribe VED or traction device even though he had one on his office table, probably used it himself) I need to get this even though there is zero clinical data on efficacy and he does not need to tell me about that either and I was in my early twenties at that time. he even told me scare stories like "I have patients that have stable phase but then it comes back again, its unpredictable". when I came out of this appointment I was almost ready to jump in front of a train because I was in such anguish. private practitioners are the worst, its all about prestigious and money
