Title: Does getting erect with penis in trousers cause further trauma?
Post by: giancolo on July 14, 2022, 07:01:22 AM
If my penis, due to a stimulus, gets erect when it is still in trousers, does this cause further trauma similar to trauma which has led to peyronie? Thank you.

Yes I think it might be able to cause further microtrauma.

But honestly, no one really knows, have never read a study or similar about it.

Thank you for your reply. Another opinion from others?

I'd be more worried about night time erections and sleeping on my stomach personally.

Unless you are in a very unconfortable position and inadvertently bend your penis and you actually feel pain, there is no problem with this. I was very scared about it before but it's fine.

I have never been worried about this myself but I took the liberty to ask my current doc about this today. He said it is perfectly fine, like the others say a natural erection is not dangerous but applying pressure and bending an erect penis might be.

It also depends a bit on what stage of the disease you are in apparently but I did not probe further into this.

Hope that helps!

Thank you very much to everyone for your great answers. I have asked this question because I very often look at sexy photos of girls and this causes me an erection when I'm still in trousers. Anyway, even though It generally isn't dangerous, do you think that I would give up causing me an erection by looking at sexy photos? Thanks

Can erections actually help with microtraumas, scares and plaques? Meaning that is stretches the tissue and perhaps could make plaques more flexible or even break it up?

I know some urologist prescribe cialis as part of the therapy following Xiaflex shots. Doctor Trost says some of his patients get a tearing or popping sound when they get an erection post Xiaflex, which he thinks is scar tissue tearing apart. I'm not sure if erections do too much for scars without Xiaflex to soften the plaque.

Nocturnal Erections are good for maintaining size too. It's your body's natural way to stretch the penis and give it a work out to keep it in shape.

Hi to everyone. I'm very terrified because today I had an erection when still in pants and when I went to the bathroom I noticed that the penis was bent and erect. Anyway, I didn't have pain nor hematomas. I fear that I have caused another trauma, what do you think? Thank you to everyone.

I don't think you need to worry about this. If you penis gets bound up while getting an erection you will experience enough discomfort that it generally will stop the erection from continuing. If getting an erection in your pants causes trauma, then every male on the planet is at risk.

Hey bud!

I used to wonder the same thing. I used to always wear boxer briefs but switched to actual loose boxers after Peyronies Disease. Reason being, if I ever had a girl over and I was turned on, I'd be completely hard but my dick was basically smashed into my briefs. This is something I never worried about before, but with Peyronies Disease I couldn't help but think it would cause problems.

I think dick size becomes a factor too. I'm larger than normal at about 8 inches. So how are you going to expand an 8 inch dick in some tight boxer briefs. Think about that lol. Not to mention, I have hinging, so it's not even like my dick can fight for room, because ultimately it will become fully erect in whatever awkward position the briefs make it happen in. Very uncomfortable for me and also prob bad for your dick. My two cents. If you have like a 5 inch dick, I'd imagine less room is needed. Or if you have no hinging, it may be less of an issue.

When you penis gets bound up when starting/achieving an erection, you will become uncomfortable and some pain before you will do any damage to your penis. The pain will generally slow or stop the erection process. As I have stated before, it being bound up will getting an erection would cause peyronies trauma.... then a lot more men would have it.

I don't think so however because I have a downward congenital curve I now stand clear of boxer briefs.  It's my choice.  My PCP and uro told me it shouldn't matter but I won't wear them anymore.   :(
