I finally realized a couple days ago that the pain in my penis I've been experiencing since February is Peyronie's. I realize now I've been very rough with my penis and that pain after sex shouldn't be a normal thing... Anyways, I had an injury from a girl riding me back in February, bending my penis slightly forward and damaging the underside of my penis a couple inches below the glans. While it wasn't super painful at the time, I could tell what happened and the pain has increased to where I often experience a sharp pain when I am flaccid. The pain did go away sometime this spring, but now I've noticed a VERY minor curve(less than 5°) forward while erect and increasing pain when I am flaccid and semi-hard, as well as after sex. I am avoiding sex now out of fear of making it worse. I've got a Urologist appointment scheduled for tomorrow afternoon with someone recommended by this forum, I will post again afterwords. I definitely feel I am still in the acute phase and have some questions regarding treatment during this time. I impulsively ordered the AndroPeyronie traction device sunday, and am waiting for it in the mail. Do you think it is a good idea to use the traction device while still in the acute phase? I am experiencing pain in my penis about half of all waking hours. What do you recommend for me to do to prevent scar tissue and plaque forming around my injury? Supplements? Topical ointments?
If it is peyroinnes from reading here, i understand it's good to start Pentox right away to prevent further curvature and to reduce/eliminate the pain.
Hmmm. Pentox you say? I will bring that up with my Urologist. Do you know anything about the success rate or any side effects from it? I will google it but feel free to send me some information you can find on it! Thanks for responding! :-)
Try going to "home", then "treatment boards", then "oral meds", and then the top "pentox" threads for lots of info. Sorry, I don't know how to add the thread links here.
Thank you! I will do that. Anyone else reading, feel free to comment. I'd love to hear from someone who has tried the traction devices while in the acute stage. Since I still get pain, I am a little hesitant, although it seems like it would benefit do to it now and encourage it to heal in a more correct position, kind of like putting a broken arm in a cast(that is a very extreme comparison as I only have a very slight bend, but I feel like it conveys the idea.)
Also, check out the single and three cylinder VED protocols on the treatment boards here.
