Title: 29 y/o with Peyronies Disease, and GI issues
Post by: neptune on February 12, 2012, 09:49:07 PM
Hello all,

About 2.5 years ago I noticed pain in the penis one night, and for the next couple of nights it continued. It turned out to be Peyronies Disease, and though I am not sure of the cause, I believe it was from a nervous tic that was kind of like an extreme Kegal exercise (weird, is right). I've since gone to therapy to help relieve my anxiety which caused there and other tics, as well as affected my life in all sorts of other ways, the Peyronies Disease probably being the worst of it as I have to live knowing I caused it through my own mechanisms.

I was misdiagnosed a couple of times from free/cheap health clinics in my city, until the lump got slightly bigger and I was properly diagnosed with Peyronies Disease. I was prescribed Pentox at 3x a day and on the side was also taking Vitamin E and PABA, and though it did continue to grow some it did finally level off. I got a new GF about a year later, and took myself off everything except Vit E. As months went on I felt more effects from it, and went to see a renowned urologist, who put me back n Pentox and told me not to take anything else as it may interfere with the effects of Pentox. After 4 months I saw him again, and it seems to have been working, as the growing has stopped, as well as the calcification (two different spots). He decided to double the dose- now 6x a day- as long as it feels OK- and I am planning on sticking with that, as long as the side effects don't get to be too much. I've been suffering through a lot of nausea, headaches, and feeling feverish- I also posted about my resolution of that with medical marijuana, though through research and talking with my urologist I haven't gotten any definitive answers on that.

I'm hoping that through regular exercise, stretching, and the amount of Pentox I'm taking, I'll be able to at least stop the growing completely and maybe chip away at what is already there.

I look forward to helpful dialogue on this form!

The problem of developing a helpful dialogue on this topic is that is almost similar to your other topic.
"Battling pentox side effects"
People that had what to say in the subject developed already dialog on the above topic.
Do you continue with the 6*400mg daily Pentox? How are your side effects?

Hi James,

I've adjusted some, though I don't always take the full two and will sometimes skip a dose if I'm out at work, etc and don't have any food around to eat with it- generally it's too uncomfortable otherwise. Though if I'm always taking with food and/or yogurt/kefir- just something to help line the stomach I suppose- it is OK and I don't notice too many side effects.

I never experienced much side effects at all with 1 400mg 3xday...
