Title: Is it peyronies or low testosterone
Post by: Raba on July 15, 2019, 04:35:17 PM
Hello!
Will try to be brief. At the age of 15yo I damaged my penis during masturbation which causes it to swell for some days (less than a week) with some pain. After a week everything went back to normal without any pain but I started to have curved erections around 20 degrees. From that time till the age of 34yo everything was extra normal: Hard erections, morning woods, maintain erections for hours, no pain at all, sex 3 or 4 times per day etc.. Turning 34yo I started to notice some changes. Currently am 37yo and the current situation is that I cant maintain my erection for long, morning wood exist but soft all the time except during night, random erections occasional and also soft, low sperm count, etc.. no changes in curvature and no pain as well.

So my questions are the following:

- Is that a case of Peyronies disease.
- can the consequences of such accident appear after 18 years.
- In my case wether it is peyronies or something else, can I take pills like cialis or viagra given my curvature or is there risk of further damages.

Thanks for your advices

Def have your testosterone and other hormone levels checked.  Here's s good protocol: https://www.lifeextension.com/Protocols/Male-Reproductive/Male-Hormone-Restoration/Page-01
A good andrologist can do a workin for you which may include an erect sonogram to check blood flow.  Are PDE5i meds helpful.  At least one research study shows viagra 50mg nightly for 6+ months can restore erection quality for Fone men.

It does not sound like Peyronies Disease but only a doctor skilled in treating and diagnosing Peyronies Disease could tell.  You do not say how you injured your penis but assuming you damaged a section of tissue and it scared during the healing process, that is not Peyronies Disease.  Peyronies Disease is scaring that overspreads healthy undamaged tissue.  It can begin with an injury with the scar tissue spreading beyond an injury or it can begin without obvious trauma on healthy tissue.

If there has been no increase in pain or curve, it does not sound like Peyronies Disease.  like Tony, I would suspect a drop of testosterone with aging BUT, many things can cause ED.  Some of them are serious health issues and ED is just the symptom.  You need a workup by a good doctor.

Thank you for the advices. Actually during masturbation in adolescence I forced my penis to the left so the accident happened but I remember I even could masturbate the next day without any problem. In fact me too I suspect low testosterone cause it's been only 2 years facing this problem. At 33yo I could do sex or masturbation 3 times per day consecutively.
Anyway thx again for the advices I will find myself a good doctor for further check up and I am planning to start trying pills.
One last question: Is it early for a 37yo guy to start having such issues or somewhat normal??

I think most men would agree that because you can masturbate multiple times daily does not mean you should.  Especially if you are not being gentle.  As men, we tend to think our penises will always work because they always have.  We are taught how to be careful about putting things in our ears, and how to care for our eyes, feet and other body parts.  We are left with the impression that the penis needs no care and will take care of itself and always function.  Clearly, that is totally false.

The penis is designed to enter a soft, supple, lubricated vagina for enough years to produce children.  We cannot expect it to withstand being man-handled with rough masturbation multiple times a day over decades.

Hi Hawk.. Thx for the reply. Actually the 3 times masturbation per day which I mentioned was for a short period of time like 2 months where I was jobless and without a partner. The idea behind is that at some point and if I wanted I could have normal erections for 3 times per day. But in general masturbation was only limited to once daily on average which wasn't rough except when the accident happen when I was young since I was using lubrication so my penis slipped and happened and no further accidents since then.

Its been only 2 years I am facing such problems. My body is changing even my sleep duration is becoming less and disturbed. I used to sleep 8 consecutive hours. Now I wake up alone after only 5 hours. Don't know the reason but its happening shortly after the morning wood is diminished. Too much info but trying to give the whole figure. Also my sperm count are very very less. Thats why I am speculating about low Testosterone.

Anyway. Thx again for your replies.

I have always been one to fall asleep within 2 minutes and wake after 7-8 hours.  A freight train would not wake me in the middle of the night (I am a morning person).  At the age of early-mid 60's, I started waking up 3-5 hours after I go to bed.  I finally tried Melatonin and then had to add Benedryl just to sleep for 6 - 7 hours.  Such sleep issues are common as we age but you seem a little too young for that.
