someone close to me got diagnosed with lung cancer etc yesterday. made me realise this is peanuts compared to something like that. he literalky has to say goodby to his children and missus and his life as he slowly but suerly dies. made me really think how pisspoor my attitude has been with this. things could always be worse fellers
Absolutely. Peyronie's sucks, but at the end of the day you still can be sexual and achieve epic things both sexually and in life.
It's all relative. I'm 22 years old and growing more bitter by the day. My attitude is piss poor, but why would anyone be happy with this condition. The fact that outsiders don't know what's up and all they see is a man slowely growing more angry is even worse. No offense but to me the scary part is living with this till I'm old and I'm sure worse things than death can happen in life. If this was a lethal diseas at least my death would be justified and suicide wouldn't be the only.way out. Not trying to offend anyone, just telling my perspective.
Even I am 69+ I can feel with you Popopo :(
Hope things will turn OK for you in the near future :)

I prefer to die(cancer, suicide, or other) to continue with this condition all my life, this is like being dead in life
Guys - have some faith in medicine.
Many people on this site have cured their Peyronies Disease and ED - and better medicine and procedures will come in the future. Relax.
Christopher1 How did they heal their ED?
I have not many faith in medicine when ED is from venous leak..

I had success with penile shockwave therapy. Your results may vary.
I've never been down with the whole 'hey it's not so bad, that guy over there is really screwed, at least we're not that guy' method of dealing with bad things.
This condition sucks balls, if I hadn't managed to treat it effectively I'd be a hermit or dead. But I did, and you can too. It takes a hell of a lot of perseverance though.
I definitely think this stuff is all relative. Over the last 10 years I've watched my dad slowly disappear to a progressive neurological disease, which has left him a quadriplegic, incontinent and in near constant pain. He doesn't worry about his long-gone sexual function, now he's mostly focused on regaining some minor ability in his hand via experimental brain surgery and making end-of-life plans. He gets joy from spending time with family and friends, but he's been robbed of a lot. I get there's much worse hands to be dealt than Peyronies.
My experience watching his decline has left me thankful that besides Peyronies (and CPPS) I am pretty healthy and able to enjoy lots of other things in life that my dad can't. Of course I don't expect other guys to necessarily appreciate or share that. Those life lessons are hard earned. I am newly diagnosed at 34, but if I'd had this disease back when I was 20 I'd be a lot more pissed off and definitely find no solace in the experience of some anonymous dude on the Internet talking about his sick dad. I get that too.
Peyronies might not be the end of the world but it can feel like that for some guys. I also like that this forum is a place where that can be expressed, especially considering people not dealing with this often don't understand the impact. I think those feelings of anger and depression should be tackled in various ways, but not minimized by saying "Hey, there's always someone worse off than you." Even if it's not objectively true, this should be the one place where a guy can freely say, "This is literally the worst F^@$!ng thing in the world" and not feel bad about it.
I've been through some pretty low moments over the past 12 years or so and I've often felt that things couldn't get any worse.
I've also learned that one doesn't even have to go to a different part of the body to find something that most people would consider worse than peyronies & ED.
Like peyronies Penile cancer is rare, little understood and often overlooked by GPs and non-specialists. The standard treatment is a full or partial penectomy. Minus a penis, you've got all the emotional fallout you would expect from peyronies/ ED, and then on top of that the real fear of dying. Even successful surgery doesn't guarantee 100% that the cancer won't return.
I'm not saying we should be content or complacent about our condition. I think we all have every right to feel as upset as we do, and we all deserve more appreciation from medical professionals. But for me, I just can't avoid acknowledging that things should be worse.
Guys - keep your head up. There are treatments and medicine is getting better.
I also think it is crucial to express your masculinity in a different way. Sounds stupid, but I consider it important. Express it somehow. Race a fast car. Skydive. Join an MMA gym. Hit the gym. Whatever. And never, never give up.
Gym, fast car, MMA - without penis does not matter to me.
I know that it can always be worse, but it does not comfort anyone.
I just found out that I can not even afford an implant - it's too expensive for me!
I wish it were the end of the world
Wladyslaw cant your insurance cover anything of the cost? in case you have an insurance of course
Everything is relative. I used to think, when I had my severe congenital curvature, that having an usable penis was the most important goal. Now, in the middle of a devastating nevralgia, I just want the pain to stop in order to do everyday things. That's why ranking diseases it's useless..and harmful.
Everything that utterly compromises your daily life is devastating and unacceptable in the same way. Thinking in terms of a list when it comes to diseases took us just where we are, in a world where "Racism" among diseases occurs every day. Rising attention just on some means focusing on them rather than others and that it likely to lead to treatments just for those diseases..
Disease need to be cured, not judged.
I have insurance, but in my country such treatment is not refunded, because Peyronies Disease does not threaten life.
Puuf I m sorry to hear that man
No threat it only destroys it..
